We stayed at this hotel twice during our trip to Orlando - the first time because it was near the airport, and the second time because we thought it would be a convenient point of departure with
their shuttle service. We felt especially welcomed by Lena A., the bartender on our first visit. A 40 year Holiday Inn employee, Lena did a terrific job making us feel welcome and serving us the way we like.
Our only issue during this visit was that for our return to the airport, we were first in line to be taken back, and my wife was in a wheelchair. We thought the person driving the shuttle was pretty rude to us. I had our bags behind the back of the van, and he told us to "wait." He then allowed other guests to go ahead of us and muttered something about needing to find room for the wheelchair. It was then "too full" to accommodate us, and he gave no explanation as to why we were pushed to the back. He said something about wanting to take as many passengers as possible, and perhaps our wheelchair compromised his ability to do that. Several other guests commented to us about it at the time.
On the plus side, a second shuttle was summoned and arrived a short time later. A little courteousness goes a long way and when it's not forthcoming, it is remembered. Other than this, our experience was great. [Less]
