Truly amazing
By jhgfdsa
Overall we loved the hotel. The only complaints were with the spa and the restaurant, which is why they lost a star. But as for the hotel itself, it was great. Pro: +Room service was fast. +Bed was [More] one of the most comfortable I ever slept in. +Pillows were great, seriously, I think this is first time I've ever mentioned pillows in a review -- they were that good +Room was spacious with a nice view of city (17th floor) +Nice outdoor heated pool and hot tub (closes at 9pm, hot tub could have been warmer) +Lots of TV channels Con: -Saturday night lobby "live music" was just a really loud DJ playing who know what. -Couples massage: we booked in advanced and requested female masseuses but they gave us one male and one female. On the plus side, the massages were great and when I checked out I mentioned the mess-up to the front desk; they gave me a 10% discount. -Restaurant: Southern Art. Just could not get my order right. I had to send my omelet back twice--both times for the same reason. I ended up not eating, but my wife loved her breakfast there. To be fair, they didn't charge for either meal (of course I didn't eat mine). -$24 parking -There was a minibar but no room refrigerator to put our left overs in. [Less]
Fantastic Weekend stay

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. The hotel staff is excellent, especially the waiter on the club level. Great food and friendly service all around. [Less]
Comfortable rooms and great staff
By cheesemonger
Rooms are nice in an older but nicely refurbished hotel. My only complaint is the service charge for room service - in my opinion, excessive, especially when the staff expects a tip on top of that [More] charge. So... if you're going to order room service, which is the only way to eat mid-afternoon, beware. [Less]
Staff makes the stay

Havlyn in the lounge upstairs is an asset to your business and keeps us High Value Customers coming back. Thanks to all the staff for their genuine hospitality. [Less]
Good meeting place

We have had our February meeting here for several years and it has always gone well. The crowded conditions were not up to the normal standards. [Less]

Good Hotel Price Too High
By Jd7788
The cost per night was too high in my opinion. The staff is great. [Less]
place to sleep
By Zosha
I drive from Toronto to Tamp as a "snowbird" every year. Frankly, I just need a place to sleep for the night as I make one stop on the way. I love Holiday Inns but find it a bit overpriced compared [More] to others, for the reason that I use it.............just a place to "crash". Definately great for longer stays. They really should have seniors rates!! [Less]
