A great ski trip
By bionicatomicuk
I was leading a group of 6 people from the UK on a ski trip. We had a long journey of over 24 hours from the UK so we were pretty tired when we arrived at the hotel. The guy on reception was great, [More] having us checked in no time and confirming that the rooms had been pre-paid. He offered some advice on where to get the best deals on ski hire as well. The next morning we met the lady in charge of the breakfast room and she was fantastic. She made sure there was plenty available and got us the odd thing, like English Breakfast tea, in especially. The rooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. The location is also good with shopping and restaurants near by. It is also easy to get to the ski areas as you are just minutes from the roads that lead to each of the canyons. On our journey back we had a 6 hour layover in New York and we decided then that we will be returning back to Utah and this hotel next year. [Less]
Here to ski
By bionicatomicuk
I chose this hotel for a group of 6 of us who are on a ski trip here from the United Kingdom. The hotel we have used before is no longer an IHG hotel so I picked this one from the online reviews and [More] for the ease of getting to the ski slopes from here. I am a Platinum member, and at check in I was greeted as such. The guy on the desk was really friendly and quickly sorted the 4 rooms for us. He offered some advice about ski rental and gave us discount vouchers. After 24 hours of traveling from the UK we were keen to get checked in quickly, get out for dinner and then get to bed. Check in could not have been quicker and the rooms were also all close to each other, which was helpful. I recommend the hotel and will certainly use it again if we come back to Utah to ski again. Very nice hotel with great staff
By TDUB23
Arrived and was promptly greeted by check-in. They went out of their way to accommodate our request for 2Q beds instead of the King room with pull out. Room was very clean and nice. Very large for a [More] hotel room. Bathroom was also clean. Location was in a decent area. I rated "Sleep Quality" as average due to the bed comfort. We prefer a plush/soft bed and these were a little more on the firm side. We did a little more tossing and turning than normal. Wouldn't it be nice if hotels allowed you to book rooms by bed type #plush, medium, firm# like you can for bed size and smoking/non-smoking. When you book, you select the bed type that fits you best. That would allow hotels to better match guest needs - assuming the bed type was available at booking. Just might be a way to differentiate a brand. Data could help hotels determine how many of each type to buy to maximize the guest experience. Overall pleased but will likely try a different hotel for a more comfortable sleep. If you're a medium or firm preference person, this hotel will be fine for you. [Less]

Great Hotel

Stayed here many times and love HIE. Good sized rooms and clean. Even though it's next to the Interstate, the noise isn't bad. Close to several restaurants along State street and the Fashion Place [More] mall. [Less]

You Guys are AWESOME
By LifeisGood77
The staff bent over backwards for us. From Thanksgiving dinner, to Football nights, to several copies of study material and rides at odd times. You guys were amazing. I would not hesitate to stay [More] here again for more training [Less]
Comfortable and clean
By PKoger
I stay at this location when I have an early morning flight and have enjoyed the low rate and comfortable rooms. I received exceptional service from Erica during my last stay. She had my additional [More] pillows ready and was friendly and professional [Less]
Great amenities and great price
By BusinessTraveler100111111
My room and bathroom was clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Hotel is slightly dated but clean. Fitness center was clean and equipment was in good shape, but there wasn't much of it. [Less]
