From check in to check out we had problems. They had my room reservation wrong and it took half an hour to get the king room I had reserved. My husband is too tall to sleep on a queen bed. The bed was hard as a rock, the hotel was full of loud guests. It seemed to be the place for all sorts of construction workers and truck drivers to stay. They were loud from before dawn till after midnight. Calling the desk to complain, got the response of "people can't walk around on tip toes and whisper". No breakfast of any type. You even had to pay for coffee ! Upon check out my room that was paid for with reward points had been charged $57 for tax. I was told this was not covered by reward points. After talking to 3 people, raising a stink, and calling the 800 number to tell them I should not be charged tax, they finally reversed the charges. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL if you want a quiet, comfortable stay, with a knowledgable staff

The staff was helpful from the start of my reservation and check in. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The property was very presentable. The staff was helpful with where to eat, the check out was most pleasant.

The hotel was centrally located to shopping and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was well appointed and with a full sized fridge. The hotel did a good job of having everything on hand that was promised. Shannon the hotel manager was professional and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a clean and modern place to stay. Thank you Candelwood!

The people at Candlewood Abilene were great to work with. Unfortunately that is about the only thing I found enjoyable about my stay. There were food remains on the floor in front of the refrigerator, an big burn ( from an iron) in the carpet, and the worst bed I have slept on in many many years. The coffee pot didn't fit the coffee maker, so instead of making coffee. it made a mess. Good location for shopping and dining.

We should have known something was amiss the minute we walked into our room. It smelled awful. Couldn't decide if someone had used the facilities and either forgot to flush or it backed up. Either that or someone had mopped the bathroom floor with less than "clean" water. Otherwise, the bed was comfy, the location is great for eating out. Loved Red Robin down the street. Staff was very friendly and spoke first. Didn't mention the smell in the room because we were just staying for one night. Otherwise, I would have made a bee-line to the manager's office for a resolution to the problem.

Only issue I had when I got to my room was there was no list of tv list of tv stations.. After a call to the front desk I was given a list of the local channels. great service. bed was great. bathroom was really set up good. i would recomend this hotel to anyone.
