If I could have rated the hotel myself it would have gotten a A for everything. It met my needs from the handicapped parking to the special features in the bathroom to a outstanding and very comfortable bed, temperature of room was on the nose. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and comfortable Candlewood Albuquerque was very accomodating with our last minute schedule. The combined fitness, laundry and vending area was clean and organized. The suite was very comfortable with the only drawback being excess noise from foot traffic adjacent and above, which is becoming more typical as facilities return to primarily wood-frame construction. We do plan on staying here for our return visits to the area. July 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Rooms I checked into the Albuquerque Candlewood Suites during a cross country road trip. The location was great, there is a Walmart right next door for food and plenty of local businesses in which to shop. I was a little put off by the staff at check-in and they never recognized me as an IHG Rewards member but they told me they upgraded my room for me so I was happy nonetheless. Now the entire third floor smelled like cigarette smoke but my room was fine. In fact, the room was amazingly clean and comfortable! It had a separate room for the bedroom and a nice big bath tub to soak in. The living area was super comfortable and allowed me to lay on the couch and just relax and watch TV for a bit. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, cups, and silverware so I didn't have to worry about anything. Overall, I was EXTREMELY pleased with this property and would definitely recommend it to anyone! June 28, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I do not recommend this property We stayed in three Candlewood Suites across the USA from the end of May to the beginning of June as we travelled across the country. Albuquerque was our last stop. Frankly if it had been our first I doubt we would have stayed at the two other Candlewood Suites (which were excellent). First of all we arrived at 2PM with a reservation and were told "no rooms are available", check in is a 3PM. So I asked, "So I should just go away until 3 ?".."Yes" was the answer. It was clear the clerk could care less that we had just driven hundreds of miles and that it was extremely hot outside - we weren't even offered a bottle of we drove around the parking lot for a while made some wide loops around the block killing time as best we could..finally I came back in at 2:45 and finally there was a room! #maybe someone could have called me?# My other real issue with this place is that the next morning I found my bill in a stack with everyone else's out front in the lobby. In this day of identity theft I found this practice shocking as my name and home address were exposed to anyone who wanted to take the envelop. The "Pantry" a feature we loved in the other candlewood suites was a joke in this place. Sorry but my best advice is to avoid this location at all cost! June 11, 2014

Before we left, our relatives' came up to see our room so they could book it for their family coming to visit. Any time we go with out the need of a pool, we WILL book Candlewood Suites!!!!!!! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Guest Beware My stay was great. However, I read the reviews and was leery about staying based on the credit card authorization issues they seem to have. I didn't know I'd been double charged until 3 days later when they were still holding a $110 authorization. I was angry because I budgeted enough to get me through 3 states and hotels. If there are pending authorizations I can't get into other hotels until it's released! They put through the charge Monday but kept my money on hold for over a week! I had to call my credit card company to find out why my available was short. Given the fact this location seems to be the only Candlewood I've stayed at that does this I decided to call corporate to complain. If it prevents them from doing it to someone else so be it! I also talked to the manager to release it. Still didn't get released until the following Monday. If they don't know how credit card authorizations work they should take cash instead. There's no such thing as invisible authorizations and nothing gives them the right to tie up other people's funds. No other hotel I stayed at did that. Because of their flub up I almost got stuck in Tucson for a week that I didn't need to be there. I needed to be in CA looking for work. When my bank resolved the confusion I moved forward on my long journey. I work in the banking industry and understand how authorizations work very well. I also don't agree with any merchant tying up funds past the date they put through a charge! Today's hotel employees are ignorant to many things, financial instruments being one of them. I would never inconvenience my guests then expect them to return or refer business! I recommended my bank set up training for today's hotel employees. I'm not very trusting of them handling my very personal credit cards to make errors on! Be careful when staying here if you don't want your money tied up for weeks! That's the only reason I don't recommend staying here. If you're rich and don't care then have at it! May 22, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Looks can be deceiving My husband and I stay there for one night and when we open the door . We thought wow what nice room but little did we know there would be problems. For starter's it had a timer over the stove and maximum was 30 minutes and if your meal wasn't done you had to reset it every time. Then there was dirty dishes in the dishwasher,So I had to wash some dishes and when I did the dishwasher leaked bad. I wanted to watch some tv before I went to bed and the tv kept freezing up. Then when I went to take a shower the next morning there was no hot water had to wait for a while to take one. Then when I was able to take a shower,The bath tub sounder like it was going to fall thru. I have to say that was the most scariest shower, I've ever taken. March 8, 2014
