Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value We stayed at a Candlewood in Burlington MA and thoroughly enjoyed. This Candlewood is not as good and the Burlington, but we still liked the space and the kitchenette. My only compliant is the carpet is always so dirty at most of the motels that we have stayed in the past month and I wished that they would clean them at least once a month and check the coffee pots because the water compartments are always very dirty and the water line full of something......not sure what but it takes 5 to 10 times of running water through them to get fairly clean water out! We were on 4th floor and internet was next to impossible. October 2, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I will never stay at a Candlewood Suites again I have been a faithful Holiday Inn rewards member for my entire working career, almost 30 years. When IHG changed my membership to an IHG rewards, I thought it might be interesting to check out some of the other hotel lines. When I arrived in Knoxville on Sunday I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express - Alcoa and had a wonderful experience. My return trip I chose to stay at the Candlewood Suites - Alcoa and my experience was just the opposite. When I arrived the host clerk was very unprofessional, calling me "honey" or "sweetie" every time I spoke with her. I decided to drop off my car at the airport the night before and asked if she would send the shuttle service and she asked me to call her from the airport. The airport hotel phone is not marked well and doesn't have the number for CS on it's sign, so I ended up looking the phone number up on my room key and calling by cell. When the shuttle arrived, the driver did not even pull up to the curb, but stopped two car lanes away. He didn't look at me or get out of the car. When I walked up the van, and opened the door all he said was "Hello", again, not looking at me. He did not speak a word to me on the shuttle ride. He did not get out and open the door when we arrived, just pulled to a stop. When I arrived back at the hotel, the host clerk was outside the entrance smoking with a number of other people. I came and left the hotel several times, and she was either smoking outside the entrance or chatting on her headset. I had several questions and she made me feel patronized each time. This unprofessionalism made me wonder what other areas the hotel might be lax in so I question the cleanliness of the room. Although it appeared clean the bedspread wasn't white, and didn't smell clean or dirty. It had absolutely no odor. I wished for Gordon Ramsey's black light! It was, frankly, just and awful, weird experience. So, I didn't feel welcome, comfortable or safe at this hotel. I won't ever stay at a Candlewood Suites again. September 1, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Little disappointed We have stayed a quite a few Candlewood Suites in our travels and I must say this one was a little disappointing. The hotel had several laundry rooms but only half the equipment was working. Two of the draws in the kitchen would not open and one would not stay closed. The hair dryer did not work, even after resetting the hair dryer and GFCI breaker. Room was clean. August 8, 2013

We stayed one night at Candlewood, however, we got a great price and our room was fabulous. Very clean, no problems and I have paid more for less in the past. I would definitely stay here again. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel chain, bad location I HATE bugs!! This was my 1st and only visit to this hotel location. Terrible experience because of stink bugs. The back of this location is against a very wooded area and the room I was given was in the back of the hotel. As I closed the curtains at night, several stink bugs were released in the room. I was not sure whether this was all over the hotel, so I chose not to change rooms. I got rid of the ones I saw, but was not able to rest during the night as I would wake up and check for more bugs. I would only stay at this hotel again if there were no other hotels available in that area and woud not refer this hotel without mentioning my experience. I love the Candlewood chain, it's just this location in Alcoa TN. May 7, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant Surprise My husband and I needed a hotel for the night before an early flight. Not knowing the area or having ever stayed at a Candlewood property, we weren't sure what to expect. Previous experience found us at hotels that were 'ok' but well worn, run down and minimal. Not so with this property! The hotel was very clean, well maintained, with a very comfy bed and pillows. Water pressure in the shower was great, also. The kitchenette was a surprise, so fresh coffee in the morning was wonderful! A van was waiting for us in the AM for our trip to the airport. The driver helped with luggage and had us there in a flash. We could not have asked for more for our purposes. March 16, 2013

Which the staff was told and entered that information in the computer. But when the package arrived they never called my room phone or cell phone to inform me it had arrived.
