Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, comfortable rooms but terrible WiFi I'm a big fan of the Candlewood brand through IHG. I travel almost every week and the full kitchen set up in the Candlewoods is a welcomed relief from having to eat out every night. This location was no exception. Room was very clean and modernly decorated. Provided quality pots and pans and everything needed to make a healthy, in room meal. My only problem with this hotel is the horrible WiFi internet connection. The first week I thought it may just be my room location or a fluke. Now, after a second week of an essentially worthless connection (my phone and laptop both struggled to connect), I'm convinced that this location needs to invest in more or stronger wireless routers. Despite having a room on the third floor, there should be no excuse for a hotel of this quality and caliber to be unable to produce a reliable internet connection for their guests. June 30, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and roomy I have stayed at this hotel every time I'm in Alexandria. I have stayed short and long term. I find the rooms to be comfortable quite and roomy. I have always felt safe, inside and out, the parking is well lit. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again. April 10, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Revise your website When we booked this hotel we needed a room for 5 people. We were charged $20 extra for the fifth person. The website indicated that roll-away beds were available. On checkin, the clerk informed me that the only roll-away bed that they had was a crib. Since the fifth person was a 21 year old man, this would not do. He had to sleep in the recliner for our extra $20. Also, I guess I should have read the website closer, but this hotel does not have free breakfast in the morning. We could have stayed literally next door for the same or less, and had free breakfast. I guess the lesson learned here is to look at the website closely and call the hotel before you check in. I'm not one to complain, but we won't be staying at a Candlewood Suites any time soon, With all that said, the hotel was very nice and clean, and the employees we came in contact with were very curteous. The room was very nice and well laid out, although the massive desk along the wall was basically useless should be replaced with a sofa to accomodate the fifth person you charged us for.
