Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious room and friendly staff This was my wife and my first time to stay at Candlewood. The room was huge and it was nice to have a full size refrigerator to keep our water bottle and soft drinks. My wife uses a mobility scooter and the room was large enough to have the scooter in the room and still be able to move around freely. The closet size was bigger than any hotel I have ever stayed at and the huge working space/desk was really nice Also nice was the amount of plugs available. The staff was very helpful with directions and helping us understand the way things worked at the hotel. Our largest disappointment was the comfort of the bed. If you are used to a firm bed they are great but we are used to sleep by number softer mattress. Don't know if all of Candlewood has the same firmness but we would be hesitant to reserve another because of the beds. There was a minor problem with the shower faucet but we did not stay long enough to give an opportunity to repair. We did let management know about the problem when we checked out . Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very good experience Staff at the hotel were very nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location is close to both the baseball and football stadiums and restaurants. If you're going to a baseball or football game I recommend walking to the stadiums, which are less than 2 miles away. Traffic is horrendous on game day and lots of the roads leading in and out are closed off. Highly recommend Salt Grass Steak House across the parking lot from the hotel. Best steak I've ever had, great service and reasonable prices. September 17, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cigarette Smoke Non-smoking room and hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. Had to check with front desk to make sure room was non-smoking because odor was so strong. Stove top was not working properly. Reported problem and was repaired the next day. Front desk was "polite" but not very friendly. No bottle of water or snack upon arrival as we are accustomed to receiving. No flavored creamers with coffee in the pantry. Trash bags did not fit trashcans. We prefer to stay at Candlewood Suites, but apparently the other locations spoiled us. This location was not up to Candlewood's standards. September 14, 2014

My children and I had a wonderful time there...we felt safe, and the room was very clean and exuded a sense of "home". The receptionist went above and beyond her duties, and was almost too nice (is there such a thing?) She was a gem. The bed and pillows were great! The ONLY thing I would change would be the comfort of the pull out couch mattress. It was very thin, but we addressed the situation with another blanket that made it ok for my 8 and 11 year old boys. They have an "honor pay system" pantry...I loved that. In addition, you can check out DVD's for free on the DVD player provided. Pretty cool. I can be picky, but I recommend this place highly! The rooms are huge, the staff treats you like royalty, and with the money you save using the kitchen in your room, it makes it an even better value. The refrigerator was not one of those small ones you get at your local Walmart, but a full size refrigerator. likewise the microwave...full size! The on-site store, containing everything from fresh fruit to aspirin, included a wide assortment of microwave meals, milk, soda, candy bars, snacks, chips, and many more pantry items. And guess what, nobody worked there, it is all done on the "honor" system. Prices are marked and you could either fill out a slip with your name and room number, or just insert the cash total into a slot and take the stuff with you. I highly recommend the Candlewood chain of hotels as I have stayed in more than one and they ALL rate 10's in almost every category!! August 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convienient location We came to Ft Worth help our daughter move. We stayed here with one of our granddaughters that wanted to sleep with her grandmother. This left grandfather on the pull out sofa-sleeper which is very uncomfortable. This may have some infulence on my ratings since I did not sleep well. The bathroom was clean and the towels were very nice and soft and of a nice large size. We got to the room late and left early the next day so did not use the hotel for much other than sleeping and cleaning up. July 30, 2014

It is far enough off of the interstate to avoid hearing traffic. It is like most Candlewood Suites, so you know what to expect. The afternoon desk clerk was exceptionally friendly and helpful! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyed our stay The hotel upon arriving appeared clean and inviting. Gave me that I am home feeling, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Once in our room, the room was cold from the A/C being left on high. But it adjusted fast and become comfortable. Everything was in it's place and the bed was clean and soft. Just like we like it, we were disappointed that hotels are doing away with lotion and toothpaste. We only had soap and shampoo available, luckily we bought our own from home. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the room provided met our expectations! July 16, 2014

The hotel had a shuttle stop, rite in front of the door, for guests to visit the attractions district, or to see the sights. Wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in the front door since the "lobby" reminded me of a dated hotel - the way it was laided out - so my expectations weren't high. The room was large, the ridge had an ice maker, the kitchen came fully furnished (utensils) and there was even a clothes basket in the closet. You can tell money was put into this hotel to try and update it and they did a pretty good job. July 6, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Could have been great... This is the third Candlewood Suites location that I stayed on my vacation and it was definitely the worst out of the three. The room constantly smelled of mildew due to the A/C unit which was also a lot louder than others I have encountered in the other two Candlewood locations that I had stayed in. The shower in the bathroom was very dirty when I arrived which made me cringe. The night staff that starts at 6pm or so on my first night was non-existent except for a sign that told residents to call 0 on there room phone. However upon calling "0" someone did answer my questions, but let me know that they were currently not on site. The days staff was fine with the exception of not being acknowledged as a IHG reward member upon arrival and having to ask if the they had seen my card on the reservation. The room was up to standard of the other renovated Candlewood Suites that I have stayed at, but seemed shoddy put together such as the bathroom sink faucet moving when being used. May 31, 2014

We brought our old dog (golden retriever) along and the hotel was great about having a pet. it did cost an extra $15.00 per night, but it was well worth it to us. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. The kitchenette was well set up and had most of what you would need for a few days stay (like any other kitchenette at a hotel). The desk clerk as a very nice young lady with a bubbly personality and very efficient. We had a very nice stay at the Candlewood Suites in Arlington. February 13, 2014
