Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Staff Very nice rooms especially the one bedroom suites. Great kitchen and refrigerator for extended stays. Very quiet area for a comfortable sleep except for the loud A.C. fan vent in the bedroom which can be turned off. Overall great room. November 23, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed The staff seemed friendly, but it came across as unnatural. My room key did not work after arriving at my room, so I drug everything back to the front desk and the lady at the front desk asked me "which way did you try the key?". I wanted to ask her if she realistically thought I would go to all of this trouble after just putting in the key one way and giving up. She did some stuff and then went up to the room and let me in. The room was fairly clean, but the bathroom had a lot of hairs around the tub, and floor. The heat/a/c unit was so loud that I set the temp so it would run very little during the night. The full size refrigerator sounded like someone started an air compressor every time it ran. The pillows felt like solid foam and had no give. The mattress was sagging and springy. I got a couple of hours sleep that night and it was all about 15 minutes at a time. Between the lack of comfort with the bed and pillows and the noise of the fridge and a/c, it was a long night. Since the motel does not offer breakfast, I decided to make some coffee in the room when I got up. The coffee maker was disgusting. The carafe looked clean, but the actual coffee maker was caked in what I hope was old coffee and not mold. I decided not to risk getting sick and did not make any coffee. I would not stay there again, nor would I recommend to anyone staying there. It's not terrible, but if you need somewhere clean and expect a good night rest, this is not place. November 16, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Okay stay for me, but not for my dog My recent stay with my service dog was pleasant. The front desk staff in particular were excellent. However, the room needed a very good cleaning, especially the carpet. Only 15 minutes after my arrival, I looked at my new socks and they were filthy. In addition, the oversized chair that was jammed into the room could not be used. However, my worst experience was the dog area. I asked for bags within 1 hour of my arrival, but they never arrived. There was only 1 dog bag/deposit container and it was on the opposite side of where everyone came and went. As a result of no bags, the area was filled with dog feces. In addition, the smokers who used the same area with the dogs flicked there cigarette filters into the grass. The area was completely littered with cigarettes. The entire pet area was unacceptable. Clean it up. Put in several bad/deposit containers. Fence in the area to allow the dogs to run free. At the very least, provided a separate area for smokers and many cigarette butt receptacles. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfort, Convinience, Affordability, and great service Had a wonderful experience during our stay at the Candlewood Suites in Augusta. As a triathlete I look for a place where I could cook some of my own meals, and keep things in the refrigerator. This place offered that homey feel and it was conveniently located at a decent distance from the race. All staff members were very nice and hospitable, made us feel like at home. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel- NICER staff I enjoyed my stay and I will be using this one again. Many of the augusta hotels are not clean. I have stayed in several in the area during various trips. This is the nicest one I have found that has a reasonable price. It was pleasant, clean and I felt safe. I have specific food allergies that do not even allow me to walk into a restaurant, so I found the kitchen was a wonderful way to manage during my trip. The staff was extremely helpful and every one of them was friendly. I will stay again. October 23, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Reasonable Property Typical Candlewood Suites but for some reason this property's occupancy detection system does not detect anyone in the room while you are sleeping. Therefore your sleep is in an oven or in a refrigerator depending on the season. The AC unit shuts off about 15 minutes after you get into bed and stays off the remainder of the night.
