Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff Upon my arrival,as with all my travel I pay in cash. When checking in, Ms. Sandra told me I could not pay with cash, credit card only. I do have a credit card on file, but I choose to pay in cash. She would not accept cash until I requested she call the manager at home - cash was accepted. The room I was given was not cleaned. After reporting this to the desk clerk, Sandra, I was informed that I could swicth room, being so late I did not. I asked her to please make a note to the manager in the morning and have him/her contact me. I was never contacted and called during my work day to inquire what was being done about the matter. Mr. Robinson was unaware of the problem and did comp my stay for that evening. This is not the first time communication was an issue. I wanted to extend my stay, went down to see Ms. Sandra and was told that she couldnt do it, When I called in the morning, I was told there was no reason why Ms. Sandra did not book my stay. When I did go to pay for the extended stay Ms. Sandra charged my credit card instead of using the cash. It seemed to me that Sandra (the only employee, who was not helpful) chose not to extend her customer service in a number of situations. March 28, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel, but we found stink-bugs in our room Great hotel chain, I have always had a wonderful experience with any candlewood hotel stay. This hotel in Aberdeen does appear to have a stink-bug issue. We found 3 in our room the first night and 2 the next night. Other than the stink bugs though, everything else was really clean and the hotel was quiet. January 17, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mislead I recently booked at stay at the Candlewood Suites in Edgewood MD, I saw the suites online and thought I would try out the property. Upon check in the front desk representative told me that since it was an extended stay property I would not receive normal room services such as house keeping and if I wanted towels i would have to bring them down myself to exchange. Part of the concept of taking a vacation is to relax and not have to work and clean my own room. Once i received my key and entered my room I found spider webs and huge ketchup stains on the wall, my bed frame was broken and last but not least the pillow cases were dirty. I reported this to the front desk the next morning and they told me they would correct the issues, upon return that night the stains were then only issue that were corrected. I would not reccomend this property to anyone unless you enjoy breaking out cleaning supplies and servicing your room while on vacation. I thought that was what the daily room rate covered when you book a hotel. October 19, 2012
