Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great home away from home I would gladly recommend your hotel. We stayed three nights - Thurs through Sunday and then added a second room for my two sons on Friday. The room size and amenities cannot be beat. The refrigerator (full size with ice maker) was perfect for snacks, drinks, etc.. The kitchen was fully equipped (although we didn't use it). This is a great place to stay for a week or more. The location was perfect. The only fault is that the pool was not heated. October 17, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty Floor There were actual fingernail clippings on floor next to bed near recliner. When I asked for someone to clean it, the housekeeping woman was rude, the vacumm cleaner smelled horrible and the experience left me with an uncomfortable feeling wondering what else was on the floor. There was alot of debri and dirt in corners and edges of carpeting/walls. YUCK ! October 17, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, comfortable and quiet The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and accomodating. We were greeted warmly each time we arrived at or left the hotel. The room was well appointed with most of what we needed during our stay. Bathroom was spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable (I had my best sleep in a long time). The room was quiet with little to no hallway noise, Even the air condiitoning unit didn't interfere with my sleep. When it would come on it would remain on for a good amount of time and so you didn't hear it coming on and off all night. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. October 14, 2013

Hotel's dog walk was very good, and surrounding neighborhood was excellent for longer dog walks. Rooms were secure for puppy, and kitchen helped considerably during puppy feeding time. The free laundry service was a nice benefit until I did my laundry. Because the dryers were in disrepair, they ruined our clothes with oil marks. We won't stay in the Candlewood Suites again. It was in a convenient location and a great value for the Hilton Head area. While the room was small, it was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the refrigerator and the complimentary laundry service. The front staff members were always very friendly and accommodating. I don't bring my pets with me when I travel for fear of pests in the room, but the room was clean and well maintained and I appreciate the full kitchen because I was able to stock it and save a ton of money on food which was used for shopping at the outlets. So if you are worried about pet allergies you can stay on another floor. Close to Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Savannah. August 5, 2013

I can't say enough about how comfortable I felt staying there and how friendly and helpful the staff was. The suite was compact but very functional. The reclining chair made it feel like I was at home. The value was great, especially the one time $25 fee for the dog. Thanks Candlewood Suites for making my transition a smoother one! August 4, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall satisfied with the entire experience My family and I visited for the USMC Graduation. We really had a great experience. I loved the kitchenette area. This is perfect for both families with kids and for business travel. The entire room makes you feel at home. The staff was really nice. One amenity that I really appreciated was the washer and dryers. The Candlewood Cupboard has pretty much everything you may need should you forget something. The prices of items in the Cupboard are not just that bad. This hotel is really close to grocery stores, so it will be very easy to go grocery shop and cook a small meal in the kitchen. Daily housekeeping is not available, but the front desk will explain how everything works, so don't let that be a turn off. I would definitely recommend that you give Candlewood Suites a try. I can tell you the next time I travel, I will specifically look for Candlewood Suites first. July 22, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Love dogs, but some nights were like staying at a kennel The place is quite clean and the staff is very friendly, but when faced with a barking dog issue from my neighbors across the hall, things didn't go well. I had complained a couple of times about barking dogs...loud enough to wake me at 1am, and to have to turn up the volume on my television in the evenings in order to drown out some of the barking noise. Each time I alerted the staff, the friendly staff said they would "knock on the door," but that did not stop the problem. All in all we had a lovely stay, but there should be a rule about bringing dogs and leaving them alone in the room all day long while they bark away. July 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyed our stay Enjoyed the stay a Candlewood. Used grills nightly. Very clean property. Staff was friendly. Had our 19 lb. dog with us, with no problems. Room had everything in it you need to cook with. Bed was nice. Only problem we had was our toilet would back up. That is the only reason I gave my stay a 4 star out of 5. Will be staying at Candlewood again July 10, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poorly Managed Hotel I had made reservations over a month in advance of my daughter's graduation from USCB knowing that the weekend event would probably book most hotels quickly. We arrived a little after 2 pm and were told that our rooms were not ready but to return at 3 and they would be ready then. We did as we were asked and returned to check in at about 3:15. I was then told that the rooms were still not ready but should be in about 30 minutes. We decided to wait in the lobby. A gentleman appeared and apologized for the delay with the excuse that there were a lot of late check outs that day. I suppose he was a manger and he did offer us a complimentary beverage and snack. After 30 minutes we were told that the rooms were still not ready and they needed another 30 minutes. I told the clerk at the desk we needed to get into the rooms to change and get to the graduation and that we didn't have 30 more minutes to just wait. She was able to find that one of the rooms was ready and we could go ahead and check in to that room. She told me she would call me in the room when the other room was ready for us. When we left at 4:45 to go to the campus we still had not received a call about checking into the other room. We did over hear several of the housekeeping staff discussing their supply needs (they did not have the necessary supplies on hand to get the rooms ready for new guests). When we returned from dinner that evening I asked about the other room and was told "we were just waiting for you to get back". Saturday morning my son-in-law decided to purchase cereal and milk from the "convenience store" in the lobby, he was at first unable to do so because the computer was not working. We don't know why they were not able to simple record the items and then put them into the computer later. He was called back as he started down the hall letting him know that the computer was working and he could make the purchase. Saturday evening my daughter was in the hall when she encountered a small group of guests smoking an illegal substance. She went to the desk to report the incident and was told that it was simply too difficult (too much paperwork involved) to "kick them out" and the reported incident was not dealt with by the management. As we were packing up to leave Sunday we noticed that there were ants in the kitchen and had to throw away some of the food we had purchased. We also were locked out of one of the rooms Sunday morning as we were trying to vacate. We had to have the desk clerk open the door for us in order to remove all of our personal items. The Good: The housekeeping staff was very polite and friendly. The hotel is quiet and although the beds are small (doubles) they are comfortable. The kitchens are fully stocked and we were able to cook a meal using the stove. It is a shame that the hotel is so poorly managed. If not for the management it would have been an okay stay. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone unless there is simply no other choice. June 29, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Housekeeping I was very disappointed with the fact that during our 2 night stay the beds were not made up the entire stay. I could live with the fact that you don't get new towels each day, but coming back to your room after being out all day and the bed was not made, nor the trash taken out, was unfathomable. Even the low end motels make the beds each day. I always though Candlewood Suites were better than that. I guess I was mistaken. Oh, and the bathroom floor still had spots of grout, which made the floor look dirty. June 23, 2013
