    ice machine

    The only thing we looked for and were unable to find was an ice machine. We were told that because each room has a freezer that makes ice, there wasn't a need to have one on premises. However, folks traveling NOT on business who are staing one night do not have the time to make ice overnight in order to pack a cooler for the next day of travel. We put the ice machinge on and got about 25 pieces of ice overnight. We were spending the day at the Gettysburg Battlegrouns and it was 80 degrees that day so the 25 pieces of ice didn't cut it to keep our drinks and snacks cold for the day. I think one ice machine in the lobby or cupboard area would be sufficient but one is needed for sure. Thank you.

    Amazing front desk staff!

    First time at a Candlewood and we were very pleasantly surprised! The front desk staff was so professional and handled our every need. Rooms were large, clean and quiet! We loved staying there!

    Chambersburg to Gettysburg

    This was our first time at a Candlewood Suites.We are IHG Reward Members and usually stay at the Holiday Inn. Due to high volume we had the opportunity to try the Candlewood and were quite amazed at the suite concept.Full size refrigerator,stove and kitchen ware to prepare meals was awesome.It is nice to have the opportunity to cook and have a place for left overs through your stay.
    Don't forget to ask for your IHG Reward gift bags.
    If not available I was told that I would receive IHG points.
