    Good bang for the buck

    This is a good "bang for the buck" suite setup. Perfect for a business traveler on a budget. Room was very comfortable, staff very accommodating. The property has been recently upgraded. One word to the wise, the train tracks are fairly close to the property. In even numbered rooms, your window will more or less face the tracks. It takes me about 3 nights to become immune to them whenever I stay in this part of Charlotte. Be advised. If it's going to be an issue, ask for an odd-numbered suite! Otherwise, this is a good place to stay for the value and experience.

    It was late in the evening when we arrived and the front desk clerk seemed more interested in her work than greeting quests. I was in line with one gentleman in front of me checking in,I didn't think the process of checking in should take 30 mins. only to not be completely accurately as she never activated our keys. I was never greeted as an IHG member or given my gift bag, she seemed unaware. The hotel seemed very old and not very clean, our bathroom towels even looked stained yellow. For the price we paid it was an overall bad stay and i would never stay there again nor recommend, there are plenty of other choices in Charlotte.
