Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Lots of fun! Full disclosure: I am an employee of IHG at the Candlewood Suites in Cape Girardeau. I was called up to work here to help them for their overnight shifts for a couple days. My room was paid for by my management company so I paid nothing aside from snacks from the Cupboard. The staff that I got to interact with and learn from made it so much fun to work 3 hours away from home. The hotel is located near most major eateries and near major shopping locations so its convenient. The hotel is very nice and clean and its cupboard is stocked with a great variety of things. For the record I am not paid to write this, I do this because I truly loved the experience. The hotel is super quiet and noise fron outside is only able to be heard if you ope. your windows. Big thanks to everyone who I interacted with for a fun time! Love ya bunches and I cannot wait to return. August 12, 2014

However ,when I asked whether there would be additional charges to my bill, the national reservation agent did not include the $25 Pet Charge. As I checked in at the Clarksville location, I was told about this fee and that the "800" operators do not know about individual hotel charges. This is totally unacceptable to me. I can understand charging extra for a pet, but I cannot understand not telling customers this policy when they are making reservations. July 31, 2014

I should have expected such a treatment when I didn't receive an email confirmation of my booking. In addition, the price I booked and the price they charged me was different ~ lot higher than what I booked. Overall, a really bad experience! July 29, 2014

We were treated every Wednesday by the manager “Ms. Christen” with a Manager's Special treat, one week it was tacos and the next was pull pork. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Non-Smoker on a Smoking Floor I specifically requested a non-smoking room. In fact, I received a call prior to my arrival about my preference. I clearly specified non-smoking. As far as I can tell, I was put in a smoking room (416) despite initializing on the check in form that I would be charged an addl $250 for smoking! When I got off the elevator and proceeded to my room it was very evident that I was on a smoking floor (predominantly). When I got home after 2 days, my luggage and clothes all reeked of smoke. Not very pleasant for someone who doesn't smoke. In the future I would prefer to stay on an entirely non-smoking floor! June 9, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great overnight stay As a Platinum member, I was upgraded to the 1 bedroom suite. It was large, clean, and comfy. It was just an overnight stay, but still great to be able to spread out. Great night sleep, too. Although, I didn't use it, it had a Lending Locker, that was well stocked. A great new addition for long term guests - especially the crock pot. The Cupboard was well stocked, and more importantly, fairly priced. Fair warning, there is no pool. I didn't need one for an overnight stay, but many people look for one. June 5, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty room I find that my stay at the hotel did not meet what I have grown to expect with the IHG group. The reason I rated this property so low is because my room was very dirty and it did not meet my expectations. When I first entered the room there was dirt all over the floor and the dirt was throughout the entire hotel room. I also found that the furniture was old and outdated. The sofa was falling apart and the chair had rips all over it. I also went to take a shower and it looked like the shower was never cleaned. There was hair and soap at the bottom of the shower. When I got into bed I looked up and saw tons of spider webs all over the ceiling. I also had an issue with the air vent having an overwhelming amount of dirt spraying out of it when I turned it on. I honestly could go on and on about all the issues that I did have at this hotel and I find that they just need to do a better job at cleaning the rooms. I did walk the two ladies on my floor cleaning to let them know what I thought about the room and I spoke with the district manager about the issues but I find that this stay was unacceptable! Everyday they had smiles on their faces and was always asking if we needed anything. The only problems I had were furiture was uncomfortable to sit in. Bed too lumpy. Pillows to soft. The dryers were not able to dry clothes 100% dry. I will still go back. June 4, 2014

Lisa willing worked with me on last minute changes. When I returned, she left me a touching note welcoming me back! The Manager and the staff are wonderful and everyone was very helpful and kind. This is located just around the corner from the travelers information center, close to the mall and many restaurants. What a great place to stay! WHAT A GREAT WELCOME TO THE CITY of CLARKSVILLE! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smoking/Poor Service I was put in Smoking Room when I ask to be Moved I was told their was no NonSmoking Rooms Available. It was to late to Change Hotels So I took it. I have never Smoked in my Life Just got over Throat Cancer and will not Return to Your Hotel. I am Elite member with Holday Inn with over Million Points and do not understand how I would be put in Smoking Room. I thought in State of Tenn it was Illegal to Have Smoking in Places Open to Public. Your whole 4th Floor smelled like Stell Cigarette. March 25, 2014
