Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great overnight stay As a Platinum member, I was upgraded to the 1 bedroom suite. It was large, clean, and comfy. It was just an overnight stay, but still great to be able to spread out. Great night sleep, too. Although, I didn't use it, it had a Lending Locker, that was well stocked. A great new addition for long term guests - especially the crock pot. The Cupboard was well stocked, and more importantly, fairly priced. Fair warning, there is no pool. I didn't need one for an overnight stay, but many people look for one. June 5, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty room I find that my stay at the hotel did not meet what I have grown to expect with the IHG group. The reason I rated this property so low is because my room was very dirty and it did not meet my expectations. When I first entered the room there was dirt all over the floor and the dirt was throughout the entire hotel room. I also found that the furniture was old and outdated. The sofa was falling apart and the chair had rips all over it. I also went to take a shower and it looked like the shower was never cleaned. There was hair and soap at the bottom of the shower. When I got into bed I looked up and saw tons of spider webs all over the ceiling. I also had an issue with the air vent having an overwhelming amount of dirt spraying out of it when I turned it on. I honestly could go on and on about all the issues that I did have at this hotel and I find that they just need to do a better job at cleaning the rooms. I did walk the two ladies on my floor cleaning to let them know what I thought about the room and I spoke with the district manager about the issues but I find that this stay was unacceptable! Everyday they had smiles on their faces and was always asking if we needed anything. The only problems I had were furiture was uncomfortable to sit in. Bed too lumpy. Pillows to soft. The dryers were not able to dry clothes 100% dry. I will still go back. June 4, 2014

Lisa willing worked with me on last minute changes. When I returned, she left me a touching note welcoming me back! The Manager and the staff are wonderful and everyone was very helpful and kind. This is located just around the corner from the travelers information center, close to the mall and many restaurants. What a great place to stay! WHAT A GREAT WELCOME TO THE CITY of CLARKSVILLE! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smoking/Poor Service I was put in Smoking Room when I ask to be Moved I was told their was no NonSmoking Rooms Available. It was to late to Change Hotels So I took it. I have never Smoked in my Life Just got over Throat Cancer and will not Return to Your Hotel. I am Elite member with Holday Inn with over Million Points and do not understand how I would be put in Smoking Room. I thought in State of Tenn it was Illegal to Have Smoking in Places Open to Public. Your whole 4th Floor smelled like Stell Cigarette. March 25, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Underwear under bed When I was checking out of my room I did a check of all the drawers and under the bed to make sure I had all my belongings. Under the bed I found a pair of dirty underwear that were not mine and I can only assume were the previous occupant's. I received 2 weekly cleanings and these were not detected or removed during those. Needless to say this ruined my experience at this hotel. December 20, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best expierence This was our first time to stay in a Candlewood Suites. We have enjoyed our stay at other IHG properties and for the reward points we decided to stay at this Candlewood hotel. Neither my wife or I are smokers and I noticed that there was a $250 cleaning fee if we smoked in the room but to my surprise the halls on our floor (4th floor and top floor) smelled like cigarette smoke the moment we stepped off the elevator. The trash cans near the elevator also had a bad odor. I was then concerned that our room would also smell like smoke however; the room was clean without the odor we smelled in the hallways. It was a large room with nice amenities but the bed was very hard for my comfort. I would have checked yes for recommending this property but the odors were very unpleasant and in my opinion over-ride the good features of this property. November 21, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Stay I've been traveling for about 4 days and each time I've gone with candlewood. They have great rooms and fair prices. The beds are extremely comfortable and the suites with kitchens are nice. They have a small snack area where you can buy basic pre packaged foods for a decent price. The hotel is very peaceful. I only wish they offered a free breakfast. That would be excellent. September 7, 2013

The staff greeted me with a bag of treats when I checked in and it turned out to be a treat staying there. My wife and I do a lot of travelling and I can say this hotel ranks near the top of the places we have stayed. I highly recommend it!!! August 9, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not as Good a Value as Holiday Inn Express This hotel is clean but worn. There were cooking odors and second hand smoke throughout. The refrigerator icemaker in the room was not on and the hotel does not have an ice machine. The front desk clerk did give us two baggies of ice but that was not nearly enough for our needs. Most of the Holiday Inn Express locations are newer and all supply breakfast. So we consider them a much better value than Candlewood. August 5, 2013

The refrigerator did not have any ice in it and there were not any ice machines available in the hotel. The front desk clerk was able to supply two baggies of ice, which really wasn't enough for our needs. The bed was very hard and was not at all comfortable. Breakfast was not included. Whether using points or paying for the room Holiday Inn Express is a much better value than Candlewood. August 3, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great last minute booking We were traveling to STL from ATL and needed a quick hotel decision, not knowing how far we were going to get that evening. The front desk was courteous and knew exactly who we were when we checked in (we made reservations over the phone). My kids were tickled by the suite style and we made a quick meal in the kitchenette which was stocked with pans and dishes. The beds were a little hard, but room was overall great. We walked to the gas station a block over and there was plenty of restaurant options if you wanted them. There was complimentary coffee and a market area to buy food or supplies from, even borrow a book or movie. June 24, 2013

We found out there was other events going on in Clarksville too which had most of the hotels booked with no rooms. You got us a room and everything was real nice and we enjoyed our stay. It feels like a 2nd home to me. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I felt safe and secure and very comfortable. The rooms were clean and staff very helpful. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Value In Clarksville TN Hotel Market I have stayed at Candlewood Suites several times but this was my first time to check in on a Wednesday evening. I learned that the staff prepares a meal for all the guests to enjoy during Wednesday evening. On this Wednesday we had an excellent Sweedish Meatballs with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, rice and several other items that I couldn't fit on my plate. We also had sweet tea to drink. The staff always treat me and my wife like family and are always so helpful and nice. We will always stay here if the rates stay fair and competative. May 4, 2013

The kitchen gave us flexibility to eat in, he had a desk to work, and with the half wall between the bed and couch, it almost felt like an apartment. I also loved the free laundry and the gym being attached. I could put in a load and workout at the same time. To whomever -- thanks for the design of the hotel and the suites. They work!! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great front desk staff The front desk was excellent. This was the second time staying at your hotel in the last three months. I had a few days with no hot water. This was a little inconvenient but the water came out room temperature. Seems like the maintenance in the building is not keeping up with the guest. Had a broken toaster, the garbage cans in the stairways were always full and you could smell rotten garbage all the time. Would recommend taking out the trash more often and possibly washing out the cans more often. November 22, 2012
