Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Candlewood Suites - Clearwater Ive stayed at this property several times. Each time, the room has been clean, service great. This time, nothing went well. The elevator was not working. I asked for a room on the first floor. There were only two room available on the first floor. The room I was given smelled bad nor did the door close. The only way to close the door was to slam it shut. Had someone taken the time to inform me when I made my reservations the elevator was not working and would not be workng for several days, I would have stayed in another property. This was definitely money wasted. May 30, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Will be back We planned to stay for one night but ended up staying for three nights. Super room. Don't be fooled by the less-than-excellent lobby. The room had tons of space for 2 working people. Free laundry is unheard of. The pool is warm and clean. As mentioned, when back in Clearwater, this is where we will stay. May 11, 2013

The Cupboard was well stocked and reasonably priced, and the laundry facility was excellent. I liked it so much that I am staying here again tonight because business took me back to Saint Petersburg this week! And the Priority Club "Wheel of Fortune" is very cool! April 28, 2013

I had to stay at Candlewood Suites for an extended period of time because I moved to this area and my apartment was not ready for me to move into it. Absolutely everyone on the staff was friendly, courteous, and always had a smile on their face. Even during the stressful check-in time when several business men were checking in along with me and my dog, everyone was pleasant. The suites were well kept, convenient, and SO affordable! I loved having the free laundry services and the pantry had everything you needed at extremely reasonable prices. My family is coming down this fall, and they won't all fit into my apartment, so I will definitely have them stay at Candlewood Suites!! April 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to be comfortable This place is awesome! We have stayed here in the past and always had a pleasent time. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms have recently been renovated, so the room experience is now equal to some of the higher-cost hotels in the area. The bathrooms are clean, and the kitchenette has all the appliances you would need to eat in. The hotel is centrally located near the shopping centers, Tampa, and close to the beaches. The channel selection was extremely limited. Most of my favorite stations were not available - AMC, Speed, TLC, to name a few; Otherwise, it was a very good stay; the staff was exceptional. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and even helped my parents arrange a special surprise for us when we returned from our wedding!! The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. We will stay here again. April 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and Comfortable When planning a last minute trip to Florida, it was challenging to find a place to stay during spring break. I trusted the Candlewood name and reputation when making my reservation. I was not let down. The hotel was very clean and up to date. Staff was accommodating, although not always physically at the front desk as they were busy in another area of the hotel. They were always reachable by phone. The hotel was quiet and safe. The pool was clean and warm (heated). Our room was clean, nice t.v., everything needed for cooking and eating in the room, and fresh towels were available whenever we needed them. A few suggestions: the bed mattress was mushy (maybe old), the recliner was very uncomfortable, the grills didn't produce much of a flame although they worked adequately, the fitness room was very nice but could have included mats, an exercise ball and foam roller, and the radio in our room was really bad sounding! Overall it was a great place for us to stay and I would highly recommend it. April 9, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding I was extremely satisfied with my recent stay at the Candlewood Suites in Clearwater, FL. My room was perfect... from the cleanliness, contemporary furniture and layout, nice large desk, perfect size bathroom, stocked kitchen, and comfortable bed. The DVD/VCR player was a nice bonus, movies available at the front desk to view, the well stocked and reasonably priced Cupboard selections. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Even the stairwells were newly carpeted and painted. I will return to this Candlewood, and also try other locations of theirs as I travel the country. Excellent quality and reasonably priced. A bit surprised that it is called Holiday Inn Clearwater and that it is not in Clearwater. Nonetheless, it is well located in Indian Rocks Beach and is close to Clearwater. One time I was injured and had to leave FL early & Candlewood made the adjustments without any questions. Their rates and rooms are great. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Welcome to Clearwater First off we want to say that we have stayed all over the country in hotels included under the IHG/ Priority Club banner. They have always provided a clean safe hotel and offered a really good bang for the buck from the top brand to the bottom. Then we stayed here. The "Guaranteed" smoking room we reserved was not even an option at this hotel due to them renovating the hotel, which was not mentioned before arrival.. Having just driven 700 miles from Charlotte, NC we were not pleased. No mention of this when we booked the room online, days in advance! Hotel Manager was "unavailable", staff lacked any sense of professionalism or customer service proficiency, no effort was made to move us to another hotel in the area ( It's Clearwater folks 50 hotels in the area) and our room was absolutely awful . The experience went down from there. We were glad our moving van was there in the morning. We called Priority Club and spoke to a Senior Customer service representative named "Jared" , who said they had to have the hotel manager contact us directly to attempt to resolve the problem. Well no call ever came from the hotel or a IHG/Priority Club team member. Very disapointing is an understatement. New resident of North Clearwater ,Florida October 5, 2012
