Had to wait 20min just to check in. When I got to my room, I was disappointed with how outdated it was. Seemed rather dirty/dingy too. The desk didn't even have an office chair. The view was nice, but you couldn't step out onto the balcony so I was watching the gulf through dirty, stained windows. Very disappointed for as much as they charge.

The location is great and the hotel is in pretty good shape. You can tell they have been remodeling but there were already stains all over the new carpet in my room and the elevator walls were nasty. There is nowhere to plug your charger in except the bathroom or a power strip on the floor by the TV.
While I would give the restaurant and lounge staff an A the front desk and concierge staff were less than attentive. (The shuttle driver was very nice) I would probably consider staying at a different property if I return to Corpus Christi.

I am very pleased that this downtown Corpus Christi landmark hotel is being remodeled and resurrected and is part of the IHG system. I have stayed several times since it became a Holiday Inn and it gets better every stay.

Came down for one night to watch the Hooks baseball game. The Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was fun and well maintained. All in all, and good stay.

The kids loved the pool which kept them busy. The breakfast was good and cost $15 per person but it evened out because the kids ate for free. We should have eaten there every morning instead of driving around for a quality breakfast.

Again I just want to say that i love the remodeled rooms. They are very clean and it just make for a great getaway. The staff here at the Holiday Inn Marina are awesome. The help out with whatever needs you may have. Especially with me always forgetting something....

Hotel was in a great location. I went for pier fishing and this location was very convenient for us. The hotel was experiencing remodeling while we were there, but they were very careful to ensure the cleanliness and noise levels.

The manager was extremly nice and accomodating. She arranged for my wife to get the room we requested even though we were early for check in. I had to leave for a business meeting.

I sustained a foot injury due to a hazard in the guest room. The metal frame on the bed stuck out about 6 inches from the box spring and mattress. On the metal frame there is a hooks piece of metal and I caught my toe in this hook. The room set up with the edge of the bed directly across from the desk requires that you walk close to the bed to move across the room.

The 3rd floor pool deck overlooking the T-head Marina is great. We were very sad to learn they no longer had the Hot-Tub. The restaurants nearby are very good and many activities are very close.

Everything you can expect from a Holiday Inn and some more. My kids always enjoy the indoor / outdoor pool here. It faces the ocean and is really unique. Love staying at this place. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Ask for the higher floors if available. They never say no here.

I stayed over Memorial Day weekend, when the hotel was filled with little league baseball players and their families. However, the staff still kept their great, friendly professional demeanor, and delivered excellent service.
My room was up on the 20th floor. Although the angle of the balcony gave a better view of the American Bank Building, I still had a great view of Corpus Christi Bay. The room, a king suite, was large and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
I did not visit the restaurant, but had a late night pizza, which was very good. The toppings were fresh, tasty, and plentiful. The bar was open late for night caps, and was well stocked. The pool is an indoor/outdoor, and looked very appealing. Although, I was there for the beach, and did not actually use it. I will state that it, and all the common areas, were well maintained and clean.
The hotel is located in the downtown area, so many restaurants, music venues, and other interests are within walking distance.
Definitely will stay here again.

This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. Upon arriving, no valet was visible. Went inside, no one was at desk, no bell to signal a guest is waiting. Only reason someone came out from back, is they needed some brochure that was on desk. During this time, I can hear someone in back complaining about something missing from their order and that a manager should bring it to them, since they are at "work". Really? What about doing "your" job. When i finally was helped, the clerk had made me feel that i was bothering her. She asked if i wanted valet parking? There was no valet? No thanks, don't want to wait longer than i already have. She did not give me voucher for breakfast that I paid extra for, figured i would come back down later, hopefully getting someone else to help me. Which I did receive after coming back from dinner, when a friend of one of the clerks, was at desk talking about going out later, sorry I had to interrupt. To top it off, the air conditioning in our room could not keep the humidity down, making for a long night. The only positive experience was breakfast service. Nancy did an outstanding job, I wish the rest of staff was like her.

This is a unique upscale holiday inn.I love the fact that our room faced the marina. I think all rooms do. The pool by far is the best among all hotels in town. I used to be a holiday inn express guy but, for about the same price you get a bar, room service and a great restaurant on property. thye also have covered parking and 24 hour security on property just in case you need anything. good thing that guests now have a choice in addition to the omni.

Stayed over beach to bay weekend.
ONLY TWO OF THE THREE ELEVATOR WERE WORKING AND WERE TOLD WE COULDNT USE THE STAIRS
friday evening check in with one of the girlswas smooth despite the chaos happening with the race. even overheard her helping runners out with event info.
saturday was great too. coffee and fruit and water set up for us runners, the bar staff was very friendly and helpful in the evening.
the problem was sunday for checkout: we were on the 6th floor and could not get an elevator to the lobby because the upper floors were coming down in full elevators. Overheard a gentleman say he had been waiting 20minutes to get on.
We took the stairs (fire exit) and ended up out on the street with all of our luggage and headed back inside to the lobby to checkout. When we informed the girl at the desk (a different one from friday evening), she had a very flippant attitude about it.

I know that the upgrades continue on the property since changing over to Holiday Inn and for the most part my experience has been great, but my room on my last stay was missing the lamp on the desk. Iron couldnt be used to steam because it leaked water from the bottom when i tried to fill it . Otherwise, overall stay was pleasant and the staff is good! Looking forward to the upgrades being completed in the future.

Just the kind of hotel downtown needed for a long time. Holiday Inn is known to be a solid family friendly brand. Additionally this one is fairly upscale, in a great location, and at a great price point.
Downtown is just few minutes from the malls. No more South Padre Island Drive Hotels for me.

While this is a beautiful hotel, I did not find the staff to be friendly. This was my 5th Holiday Inn in the last 3 weeks. And this was the least friendly.
I have stayed in another Holiday Inn in the area in the past. This visit I thought I would stay for the view.
However, in the future when visiting this area I will probably stay at one of the other Holiday Inn hotels.

I recently attended a District Conference at the Holiday Inn at the Marina. I found the room neat/clean and comfortable. The view of the Marina, Bay and surrounding community was outstanding. Parking was convenient. Had two teenaged children with us. They loved the pool and workout room. Staff was very friendly, made us feel at home. Have stayed at this location previously, would stay again, definitely recommend this location to others.

What a great bay front stay! The south view from the 8th floor of the marina was beautiful. Our vacation stay was pleasant, some of the hotel staff was in training and doing their best to keep up. Even though the restaurant has a daily breakfast buffet we were asked to wait ten minutes to be seated due to kitchen overload, which didn't make sense. Delicious brewed coffee served daily with the "huevos rancheros" my favorite menu item. Location is great if you like to walk or run for the health of it, we took our bikes and rode all over the downtown area.

The location of this hotel is very nice. But that's all the good things about it. The rooms look outdated. They claimed they had done some renovation but you won't see it. The front desk staff need some training. Not impressed over all.

I was in town from 04/14-04/16 for a business meeting. The problems started from the time we arrived. Inexperienced desk staff, rooms not as expected (very small), two members of my party had rooms switched to different room type then what was reserved and were not notified prior to arrival. Both are platinum ihg members. The restaurant was a whole different set of problems. Day 1 attempted to have breakfast approx. 15 people were seated upon our arrival in the restaurant. Took 10 mins for waiter to come take order, then took 15 more mins to get drinks, then 10 more mins for food to be delivered. Once our check arrived it took over 5 mins for the waiter to run my credit card. Wait staff seemed very under trained and inexperienced. Ice machine on 7th floor was totally disgusting. Mild growing in the ice machine and on ice. With all the upgrades you would think you could have replaced the ice machine or at least clean it. Another idea mini fridges in rooms would be great. Had dinner at the bar one night with co worker, we had 1 beer apiece and dinner. Charged to room, showed up as $34 liquor charge. Not a good practice for business traveler filling out expense reports. This is an old hotel that has somewhat been remodeled, but could still use some work. For the most part the staff was very friendly, but hotel could use some more upgrades. Great location next to the marina. I would have a hard time staying at this location again, with newer Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Express in the area.
