Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice suite Our stay, unfortunately was cut short. Not from anything the Hotel/staff did, just the darn weather didn't cooperate with us. Did the advance reservation 3 weeks prior and who would have known we would get 72 hrs of rain. Was planning on hiking Turkey Run State Park, but was flooded. The room was very clean and comfortable. Was really nice being able to cook a meal in our room. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Towels were clean and soft. Bed was comfortable and also clean. We will definitely use this Hotel again whenever we are in the neighborhood. Thanks again to the staff. April 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly and Convenient We checked in at the Candlewood to just have a nice quiet nigh together. It was very nice here. The rooms are very nice and I loved having a full kitchen to cook what we like. It was very quiet and made me feel like I was at home. I would definitely stay here again. March 13, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible, Horrible, Horrible We were staying at this hotel for the weekend. We were aware that the property is an extended stay type. We have stayed at Staybridge Suites and other brands of this type as well in the past with no problem; however, I will never stay in another Candlewood Suites. Upon entrance into the room we discovered that the pull-out sofa had dirty old sheets and blanket still on it. It took 3 hours to get this corrected. The following day no one came to take the dirty towels and bring clean ones so I called the front desk. I was informed that it was an "exteneded stay hotel" and that was not done but that I could come to the front desk for clean towels. I had to find a housekeeper to take away the dirty towels as I wasn't leaving them on the floor or carrying them anywhere. I wonder - were we expected to take our trash somewhere too? Our trash cans were overflowing. The water from both sinks and shower was never hot - only lukewarm. So not only are you expected to shower in lukewarm water but you are supposed to wash your dishes in it too. The clean towels weren't quite clean - probably because they got washed in lukewarm water. It was a miserable experience - one that won't be repeated. March 11, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Received wrong room Checked in at this hotel in evening right before needing to leave for dinner reservations. Paid for a one bedroom suite received a room with queen size bed and queen fold out couch (room 126). I didn't find out until the next day that a one bedroom suite actually is supposed to have a separate bedroom. I was given the wrong room. The front desk person gave me a business card that he wrote on and said he would give me another room (exactly the same as I had for free if I rented it in 30 days because he would still be there then). i asked for a receipt showing the room number and the type of room I stayed in. He said they were having computer problems (how convenient) and he couldn't print a receipt. He then asked for my e-mail and said he would e-mail the receipt. It is now six days since my stay and I have yet to get that e-mail. February 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Delightful Stay & A Delightful Staff In the fall of 2011 we chose to no longer stay at what I consider the best value and best set-up in Crawfordsville due to the management that was in place. I had called recently, hoping that person (female) had moved on, and sure enough, it's back to what we've come to expect at this location, friendly, helpful staff that consider our reservations to be something to be honored and welcomed, rather than bothersome and intruding upon their time. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Candlewooed in Crawfordville I made an online reservation with my smartphone app. The Holiday Inn Express was full so I defaulted to the Candlewood property. What a mistake! I should have just stayed in my car. They room type for which I had made my reservation was not available since it was not clean. The room they put me in had no towels and no toilet tissue. The instructions on the ac unit said to adjust the temperature of the room on the wall, yet the wall controller was inoperable. I finally lifted the lid on the a/c unit and saw that I could adjust the temperature there. All in all, I would never stay there again. November 1, 2012
