When I went to St Louis I tried quite a few extended stay hotels in the area before I came to the Candlewood. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and the property was well kept. I liked it so much that I stayed there for 3 years.

This place was well beyond my expectations. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful and the room was gorgeous. Nice bed, great office space, super fast internet. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!!!

Arrived and the staff at the office was not prepared for us. We had to wait over 30 minutes for him to find our reservation. The location was close to the airport for us to dash and run.

Stayed at this Candlewood Suites while in between houses due to selling one earlier than we could close on the new one. The room was very nice, the bed wonderful! The shower had good pressure and water nice and hot even on the 3rd floor. While staying I was working my regular schedule of 12 hour nights, and did not have any trouble with excessive noise was able to sleep well thru the day. I also was able to get an early check-in to be able to get there and get everything settled before having to get ready for work which was a nice plus. The staff was always helpful, cheerful, courteous. The only thing was the cupboard was sorely lacking food choices but I wonder if it was because I was there over the weekend and they don't re-stock until Mondays?

I am on the road Monday thru Friday every week for my job. I stay exclusively with IHG properties and earn my Platinum Elite status time and time again. On check-out days I leave early morning (0400-0500). My receipt has always been slid under my door so I can pack it away with all my other receipts for my expense report. This was not the case at this property. Not only was my receipt NOT slid under my door, the hotel staff was no where to be found when I left the hotel. I had a flight to catch and did not have time to wait for someone to be found. My wife had to call to have the receipt emailed so I could expense it.

The room layout and size was great. I could tell that the room had had a pet in it and the smell never went away I even went out and brought air freshner. The t.v. worked barely but the dvd player never worked and the front desk evening shift told me he would be up to help and never showed and that was poor service at it's best. I would say that the excitement of seeing the room was dampered by the actual issues once inside it. I would not recommend this hotel. Sad but true.

The stench in the end stairwells was overwhelming at times due to uncollected garbage. The whole place was very dated and needs to be upgraded.

We have stayed at IHG hotels (primarily HI) for years and have really been pleased with them all. When were contacted that if we stayed at another property we would be awarded additional bonus points, we selected this Candlewood Suites. We were so disappointed. First, the one bedroom suite we stayed at was not up to the same level as other hotels in the group. When making the reservation we selected that there would be 2 kids and 2 adults. Upon arrival late in the evening, we only found two towels, to washcloths and two pillows in the room. When I called the front desk they asked us to come down to get the additional supplies. I pulled out the sofa bed for my girls and the previous guest's bedding was still on the bed. I called the desk again and although very nice, he asked me to remove the sheets and place them in the hall (GROSS!# and send my husband back down to get fresh sheets, but that they were out of blankets. The air conditioner is only in the living room area and does not regulate the entire hotel room. So the bedroom area was so hot, not to mention the incredibly small bed #not even a full, just a bit bigger than a twin# was old and springs were poking us as we tried to sleep. The vent cover that went over the air conditioner was broken off so it was just a large, dirty pit from where the air was blowing out. Usually housekeeping will at least come in and change the garbage #of which there was one TINY TINY trashcan), however apparently you have to request this service and know as a guest you need to request it without being told. When we returned that night our trash was still in the room and no fresh towels had been delivered. The halls in the hotel had an awful smell both days we were there which was just weird and added to the overall experience. We will still stay committed to IHG and particularly Holiday Inn hotels, but we will not stay at a Candlewood Suite again. The only positive was that the front desk attendant was nice, just not very accommodating.

Not equivalent to other hotels in same category. No king beds, no breakfast. Would not recommend this Candlewood Suites or probably any of them.

Andre, the front desk manager was very friedly and helpful--great attitude that makes guests feel welcome. Great hotel for business travelers. This was my 2nd time I have stayed at this particular Candlewood Suites hotel in the St. Louis area, will come back again. As a Platinum member, I received a room upgrade and welcome gift.

This was a nice place to stay but we weren't able to check in when we rolled into town about 3:30pm. Our room wasn't ready so we had to wait for it to be cleaned and serviced and then our bathroom smelled like cat urine so I don't think it was cleaned properly. We were in a pet suite but I expect them to be cleaner and smelling better.

I've been staying here for about 3 months now, and wouldnt stay anywhere else. The place is a deal compared to everywhere else. Please note though that the landfill is nearby and they have some major smell issues. A couploe nights a week it is almost unbearable to go outside and heaven forbid if you left your window open. Nothing the hotel can do it about it but figured you should know before making a reservation if you are the least bit smell sensitive!

Staff remembered my first name by the second time out of 4 times I stayed there. I would give them an 85% on cleanliness of rooms/odor. They put me by the elevator twice. On my fourth stay I was on the traffic side of the hotel, I was not very happy about that. Overall, because of the wonderful service, it was probably worth it.

Could not connect to internet and was on the phone with tech support with the hotel's internet provider trying to figure out why I couldn't connect. Was told they would have to have a senior level person take a look at my connectivity problem and someone would call me back. Never did so I got no business work done at all on my computer during my stay there.

My job has contracts at several of the hotels for convenience to employees when bad weather hits the area. That was the reason for my most recent stay. But I choose Candlewood over the other choices for the comfortable room and the staff attentiveness. Love the plush, comfortable bed. I have stayed at the hotel before the renovations and I really like the new style for the rooms. Very state-of-the art, rooms always very clean. I like the fact that food locations are nearby and is to reach major highways. Manager and staff are very friendly and always very helpful and seem to take a lot of pride in their hotel and offering their guests comfort and service.

I've stayed at this Candlewood for over 1 year and is has been like a home away from home for me. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If there are any issues with your room or stay they will correct the issue right away. They bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable.

Hotel location is convenient to major highway and in an area with several other hotels. Close to Ameristar Casino. Hollywood Casino, restaurants, shopping within short driving distance. Hotel style focus is on customer service and rooms rather than fancy lobby or breakfast room and doesn't offer a hot breakfast bar. Hotel staff is exceptionally service oriented. Very responsive to needs. Movies and books available in a lending library for guest use. Movie player available in room. Convenient work out room with honor food and beverage pantry and laundromat services make it convenient for family, business or extended stay guest. Only 1 elevator (down the hall and not off the lobby). Room was clean with full kitchen and furnished dishes and cookware but refrigerator a little noisy in small studio suite set up. IKEA modern type decor. Desk area large and convenient for work. Studio suite room space a bit tight with bed in alcove. Large recliner in room next to bed is nice extra seating feature but awkward to navigate around to get to one side of bed. We moved recliner to better access the bed but there wasn't too much available space in room to sit in it to watch TV. A smaller chair would work better for 2 people sharing the room. Bathroom vanity and decor finely appointed. Nice selection of shampoo etc. Since it is a budget hotel, towels and sheets were not changed daily and guest must take used towels to desk to trade in for new ones. Walls and floors not too soundproof (could hear footsteps above us) and toilet in our bathroom was noisy when flushed. For the rate and location and customer service - would consider staying there again. No real upgrades for priority club members but was offered free beverage from food pantry. Owners/managers seem to take pride in running a nice establishment and hire friendly and customer service oriented staff.

I loved the updated and clean, and spacious 1 bedroom suite. I have stayed at this location numerous times; the results are always the same; the staff is GREAT. They make me feel welcome and attend to my every need. The room, value, and customer service is excellent!

Hotel and room nicely decorated. Halls smelt smokey but room was OK. Upper shelves in bathroom and kitchen were very dusty, yet the rest of the room was pleasantly clean. Mattress was comfortable as well as the sheets and bedding. Flat screen TV, nice desk/table combo. Recliner great for relaxing. Will stay here again. Nothing special for Priority Club.

I stayed at the CandleWood for a week and they were great. The room wasn't perfect but it was clean and accomidating. For the price there isnt another place I would choose over Candlewood.
