Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by King Bed NS Good value for money. Kitchen and Bathroom were clean. A/C and TV, and internet work well. Bed and chairs are comfortable. Coffee pot made decent coffee. Fridge kept the beer cold. Only negatives: recliner chair fabric was falling apart, and the fake leather had been painted where it flaked off. It looked horrible and needed to be burned. All the rest of the furniture was clean, comfortable, and in very good condition. Not sure why this one chair was so bad. Also, the towels are small and thin. One washcloth hadn't been bleached enough. Otherwise it was nice and it worked great for my business stay. November 11, 2014

From the time we checked in through 3 days after our stay the staff was argumentative and did not care about our needs and our satisfaction. October 29, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Basic comforts of home Positives: clean rooms, friendly staff, nearby restaurants, easy travel to Notre Dame and other points of interest.The kitchens and appliances were well maintained. I could stay here comfortably for weeks. Negatives: Lack of a pool or hot tub, limited common space, double rather than queen beds. October 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor policy and poorer attitude Despite multiple requests for a roll-away bed, one could not be reserved via the reservation system. We needed one for the second night of our 2-night stay. On the morning of our second night, we were assured by the clerk that one would be available and delivered to our room. Upon returning late that evening, we were told that they were all in use. The evening clerk was rude and unsympathetic to the situation. He simply stated that because there are a limited number of beds, the hotel cannot guarantee their availability. I attempted to reason that the limited number directly supports the ability to reserve them. He did not seem to appreciatd that unavailability of a bed is more impactful than the unavailability of other amenities. His attitude aggravated an already disappointing situation. I would have much preferred to have been told up front that one was not available so that I could have made alternate arrangements. October 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Candlewood Elkhart Hotel was as expected for a Candlewood. Room was clean and generally comfortable. The only down sides were a small television screen, a room on the front of the Hotel which made it hard to block out all outside light and make the room completely dark, and a noisy/squeaky shower.
