Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rude staff I have been staying at this specific location for the past year. My current job and the hotel had made an agreement so it was a pretty amicable relationship between both parties. I was told I had a balance by a staff member at night, to which I was more than happy to pay; the past management and I had a payment plan set up so they knew when to take the balance. The next morning, I went to explain the agreement set between myself and the former management and I could pay a portion now and the rest within the few days; I was immediately cut off by Rosa, looked up and down in disgust and told, "if you don't have the money, just say so now". Taken aback by her brash nature, I once again reiterated that I would indeed pay. A few days later, I had paid a portion of my balance and let them know that I would be paying the rest when I got paid as I've always done and had agreed to. The following morning, I was called by Rosa, and asked if I did indeed pay, to which I told her yes. Once again, her attitude took over and she told me that the agreement hadn't changed so I shouldn't think I was getting out of paying. In pure shock, I told her that wasn't my intention, and that I was just paying a bit prior. She quickly rushed me off the phone. The day came I had to pay my balance was due in which I had the full amount plus extra, to which I had told the staff I can pay now, or wait to give it to her because she was who seemed so adamant. The staff said I should deal with her instead because they know I'm reliable and she's made it uncomfortable for them working for her as well as the others guests who have been staying. I explained I had the full balance, and they told me not to worry because it was coming from credibility. Around 11:45pm on Sunday while I was sleeping, I was rudely called by Rosa to no greeting, in which her words were "where's my money?". I explained I had it, to which I was cut off and told, "we had a deal, do you want to be kicked out and sleeping out on the streets?" Fed up, I hung up the phone, walked over calmly, and handed her the money and walked away. A fellow staff member sensed my mood, and came to talk to me but the damage had been done. In these few instances, I have never been as disrespected, and left with a bigger distaste in my mouth. I was told that the General Manager would speak to me to which I have yet to hear from which is why I am writing on this. There's a point where money needs to be made, but the lack of customer service here is flat out unacceptable, A place I used to call home, I will no longer recommend to a single soul due to the treatment that was given. I moved out to get an apartment in the area for the next 3 months, but will be returning to the hotel because it convenient, great location, safer and cheaper for the area. October 10, 2014

Having the grills made for the stay more pleasant and home like. When we had to change room the next room wasn't always ready or something was working, i.e. air conditioning. October 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by surprise facilities When we were looking for somewhere to stay outside Washington DC we chose Fairfax as we would be travelling south after our stay. We found this hotel and thought it sounded good but on arrival we were very surprised that it was so well kept and modern. The reception staff bent over backwards to help us determine our way to Washington DC the next day, advising us of train schedules, station location, etc. Our room was of a high quality and we valued the use of the kitchenette and the super duper King bed. I used the laundry and felt lucky to have this facility which is often badly needed when travelling. We have many more miles to travel on our holiday and we'll certainly be looking for more Candlewood Suites along the way. Thankyou. September 15, 2014
