Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good room, dodgy back doors The side exit door near my room was wide open (not closed). I reported it to the front desk in the evening, and by the morning it was still open (would not lock, anyone could walk in without a passkey). That's not a good thing and brought my otherwise all good visit down... October 18, 2013

I can recommend Candlewood Suites of Fairfax, VA as one of the best, The staff is available to assist in all request and needs. The staff was professional and courteous, one member giving me her rain coat during a downpour. I also want to want to mention how helpful one of the guest an RN, who was a complete stranger to me, assist me during a medical emergence. I would recommend anyone visiting the Washington, DC area stay at Candlewood Suites, Fairfax, VA. My sincere Thank to the entire staff October 15, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Candlewood Fairfax " the best" Here it is close to Downtown new carpet down the hall in the rooms fresh paint the place always looks great ; walking distance to shopping and grocery stores . real close to the subway system go downtown shoot some hoops with the Prez and see the memorials ; Greatest food on earth all over and Maryland best seafood on earth. Relax a day and just have a cook out in the back enjoy Americas cuisine hotdogs and hamburgers and John Adams ; The place is awesome and delightful . Meet with the whos who of Washington and tell them your ideas . The temperature is great there time to pack up and see your Nations Capitol spend some bread dudes its only paper Bros. Nice quiet location with easy access to all of DC Area. Staff always friendly and helpful. No pool but with all the activities going on in DC most likely couldn't use it. Only thing lacking is a Breakfast but you have your own stove refrig and microwave in your room Highly recommend this location. Good Value and comfortable beds. May 31, 2013

The convenient location off of Route 66 also allows the hotel guest to easily access the immediate area, whether its the large Fair Oaks Mall, which is a half mile away to a direct route into the District. While I have stayed at many other extended- stay hotel chains in the US, the rare combination of terrific employees, convenient location and comfortable room suites makes this Fairfax property hard to beat.. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff went above and beyond We were having difficulty finding the hotel (in the dark and after being on the road for 5 1/2 hours) and called the desk for directions. Theresa answered and stayed on the phone with us, giving us directions, until we arrived. Thank you so much! We loved the little kitchenette in the room. We visited the Candlewood Cupboard several times and found it well stocked and reasonably priced. (Compared to another establishment we had stayed at in the same area a few months ago.) Will defintitely stay again when we are in the area. May 20, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice for long stay....always ask for third floor I have stayed at this hotel before and had a better experience. The hotel rooms are not very sound proof. This trip I was on the first floor and the noise was crazy. The people above me were a couple and 2 kids, Not very relaxing. Also the room was one the first floor between the elevator and front desk...also very noisy. Internet was very poor this trip also. The provider is off site and the Hotel can not help you with anything regarding the internet service. February 28, 2013

He made me feel right at home, and treated me as a valuable family member rather than as a regular guest. He understood what it was like to be far from home, and made me feel as though Candlewood was my home rather than a motel room. I loved the monthly cookouts they had when weather was warmer, as it also allowed people to meet others who stayed there for extended periods. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, very clean and up to date. I found my stay at Candlewood suites to be an exceptional experience. Although it is not a " 5 Star hotel" as some would state in other reviews it is better! It allowed me the freedom to come and go without being bothered all the time by officious personel. The room is more than adequate and had everything I needed for my three week stay. There are plenty of places nearby to obtain items for the kitchen, or for entertainment. If you have the pleasure of meeting Abraham, who generally works on the weekend you have met the paragon of consierges! Thank you to all the staff who made my stay pleasant. December 1, 2012
