I choose the hotel for it's close proximity to the airport and was very impressed with the room and the staff. Quiet, clean, convenient and a good value. All the things I look for when I travel. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel but last experience was sub-par. This is my 3rd time staying at the Candlewood Suites in Fargo. My first two times were great. All the amenities were nice and I had great stays. However, on this occasion I wasn't as impressed. The room had an odor, the TV audio was cutting in and out, the shower faucet leaked and didn't provide much water, and the drain was half plugged so when showering the tub would always fill with water. Like I said, my previous two stays were great but this one was sub-par. December 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great flexibility and service I came in on the Amtrak train, which arrives in the middle of night in Fargo. The hotel hooked me up with a taxi service which took me door to door, and evn though I had a reservation for that night, the staff let me check in very early (like 6 AM), which gave me a chance to sleep, shower, and work in the room that day. Great help, too, the next night when I missed my train - they let me check back into my same room and stay for another night at the same reduced rate. They also covered the taxi ride back to the train station the 2nd night. Very accomodating, and very friendly. Despite all the issues with Amtrak, staying at this hotel was the best part of my whole trip to ND. December 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the price, but a little dirty. This was a great price for us, and was in a good location for our stay. It was a nice, up-to-date hotel. All the amenities of a new hotel. The only problem is that, it did not appear to be recently cleaned. The sheets, pillows, and towels were fresh, but there was dust on behind the bathroom door, and just did not look swept/vacuumed. We are a bit picky when it comes to mattresses, so our opinion maybe critical, but the mattress was very uncomfortable, we were only there for the night, so it wasn't a big deal, but an extended stay would be rough.
