Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Value! Great in-room amenities Great Room. Extremely comfortable bed. All of the kitchen appliances and amenities worked flawlessly and were extremely clean. The bathroom was clean and well-lit. I would definitely stay here again. We came to go to Disneyland and we drove to the park everyday in less than 5 minutes. It is an extremely convenient location and you are away from the crowds of Harbor Blvd. The room smelled like the previous guest smoked in the room despite it being a non-smoking hotel, but we did not complain at the time since we were checking after midnight and just wanted to sleep; we also thought the smell would go away after a day, but it did not. Also, we would have liked more towels in the room, but it was not a big deal. We do plan on staying here again, and if the room smells next time we will definitely change rooms. October 16, 2014

I tried to talk to the person at the front desk to find out if they knew of the best way to get to Disneyland and he acted as if I was inconveniencing him by asking him a question. The hotel seemed clean when we first arrived and then when I went to prepare to put my sons to bed I found different. I pulled the extra blanket out of the closet to use on the pull out sofa and found there to be what looked like blood on the blanket. I immediately through it on the closet floor to not be used. Then when I closed the door to the bedroom I found a "COACH" box next to the dresser. I had not been shopping at "COACH" so I knew it was from the previous occupant. I also noticed that there were visible stains on the carpets in the room. At that point it was pretty clear to me that they do not properly clean the rooms after each guest leaves, which I found to be unacceptable for a hotel. You could tell that the cleaning staff just really doesn't care about the quality of their work as if you look on the stairs you will see where they put down what looks like Carpet Fresh powder and then didn't bother vacuum it all up like you are supposed to. Even with that the hotel still wreaked of cigarettes in the hallways and stairwells. If you are looking to pay a decent price in this area and don't care about cleanliness then this is the place to stay. October 9, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Regurgitating Garbage Disposal As always, there was something wrong with this hotel stay. The room was nice and clean and comfortable. However, the sink and garbage disposal looked as if someone had poured 'dirty water' and left residue in the sink. I turned on the disposal to clear the debris with water when it began to 'regurgitate' water back into the sink. I had to keep running the disposal to keep the water from overflowing. I contacted the front desk & the clerk wanted to move me to another room. However, the sink 'stopped' its regurgitation and I took a bath. Within 20 minutes after the bath while watching television, the sink overflowed and filled the kitchen floor with water. It was also affecting the next door resident whose sink was also overflowing. I was moved to another room. However, the whole situation was disconcerting as usual. I cannot recommend this place anymore. There's 'always' something wrong. September 18, 2014

Unfortunately the fitness center, laundry room and convenience store was closed during our stay. Nice fitted kitchens in room. ce maker were working. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Great room, but woken up early by outside lighting Room amazing, Staff a bit distant since they work behind 2 desks.. Kind of hard to explain. but you are behind a desk and they are behind another desk? Window curtains way too small to where the light from the outside could not be filtered out, unless you bend the curtain into the window frame. The gym looked like it was being updated. Over all, we loved the rooms. the kitchen pots, pans, cups and all the silverware, all clean and ready to use. We wanted ice for our sodas right after we checked in, which we had to set up the refrigerator, BUT the front desk staff offered to give us their ice from their own refrigerator. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fitness Center The area was being repaired but as I stated in my earlier comments, there is 'always' something 'wrong' no matter when I stay there. It's convenient and I don't plan to change but a higher quality of accommodations would be appreciated. Some of the 'easy chairs' are ripped and torn. The microwave lighting is usually inoperative. Trash and debris can sometimes be viewed in the hallways. Trash bins aren't emptied regularly especially on the weekends. Trash is stacked outside the bins and the smell can be unpleasant and unseemly. August 14, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by If you hide in your room and don't need internet its decent First, the rooms are adequate, possibly even decent. DO NOT EXPECT TO GET WORK DONE USING INTERNET. It is slow, slow, slow. Hardwired internet did not work the one time I tried. DO NOT EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO DO LAUNDRY. Even with multiple machines, had to wait hours or even days. Two dryers broken, no washers broken when I got there, all of them broken when I left. DO NOT EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO SLEEP at night. It's loud. They are pet friendly though, which is the reason, and only reason I stayed here. August 5, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room was Great; Staff and Facilities - Not so Much Room was clean and well suited for my needs. Staff and facilities definitely did not wow me. Upon check-in, my company's payment authorization was not on file. The front desk staff made no effort to help resolve the issue. I had to contact the company, travel agency and speak to the front desk multiple times before the issue was resolved. One would think the staff would be proactive and ensure a guest's reservation is accurate prior to their arrival. The laundry, gym and vending area was also flooded and out of order for the three days that I was a guest. As such, I had to use outside facilities. I was also charged by the hotel for basic toiletries (razor, toothbrush and toothpaste), something that is usually free at other hotels for guests who may have left them behind. August 5, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No Wired Internet Wired internet was difficult, at best, to access. I was unable to connect my computer the entire time. I know, I know, who needs wired internet? My company laptop does not have wireless capabilities - removed for security reasons by the company. I was unable to work on an urgent issue at work due to lack of connection and ended up having to go elsewhere to connect my laptop. It would have been ok if the hotel did not offer wired internet - I would not have elected to stay here; but, don't offer this amenity, if you cannot provide it. The room was nice and comfortable. The common areas - stairs, elevators, hallways, reception area - were not. The elevators were dirty and smelled bad. The stairs and hallways were hot and the carpet was stained. The reception area is small and outdated. I will not be staying at this location again, and it makes me question whether I will stay at any Candlewood Suites in the future. June 30, 2014

The common areas showed more wear and tear than the individual rooms. Two of the dryers were broken during most of the stay but I saw the repairmen shortly before my checkout. I did not care for the laundry, workout area and cupboard to be all located in the same room. No Platinum member benefits. June 18, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Power outage for more than 12 hours There was a power outage notice given to me, dated 5 Jun 14, when I arrived on 7 Jun, stating the info about the power outage. It was supposed to be from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. I don't think I should have to pay for such a considerable time of discomfort during that time. At least a discounted 'price' should have been offered. The outage 'supposedly' affected the whole street but the power for the 'street lights' were working. This is unacceptable and 'management' should 'do something' for the guests who had to walk through 'darkened' hallways and live without air-conditioning for such a long period. Had I known about the 'outage' earlier, I could have made other arrangements. No attention was given to this 'mishap' and the customers are the ones who had to 'pay the price.' Where's the discount on that entire day? How would you like to survive in such an environment and pay 'full' price for a similar day that had 'all power' available. June 13, 2014
