Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel But..... This is a great hotel, the staff was very friendly. The only problem is that the rooms heating and cooling is controlled by a motion detector. If it does not detect movement, it does not come on. If I walked out of the room and came back in the A/C would come on and run for 15 minutes and turn off. Night time was the worst. The front desk said that the system could not be over-ridden. This is a very nice hotel for the price i paid, but the motion detector for the heating and cooling needs to be re-visited. June 11, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great service. My husband and I were in Georgetown for a little family reunion. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Candlewood Suites. The rooms were very comfortable and met all our needs. All of the staff we encountered were extremely nice and friendly. We enjoyed talking to them. I wish I had gotten their names, but I didn't. Anyway they all did a great job. We definitely would stay at a Candlewood Suites hotel in the future. June 4, 2014

We received a great price due to our stay was 16 days. We got to know the staff by their first names. They greeted you with a smile and meant it. Laundry was free (you supplied the soap). Clean room, nice towels and sheets, comfortable bed, NOT run down, all at a good price. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Georgetown area. Complete "kitchenette" for staying more than just one night. No breakfast, but that is part of the lower price. If you want $4 worth of continental breakfast, stay somewhere else for $25 more per night. Will definitely return next time I am in the area. October 18, 2013

I really enjoyed the little convenience store, its nice not to have to run out and make purchases for much needed items like a tooth brush and tooth paste. Free laundry facility was a bonus. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I would recommend The motel is located in a nice place. The room and restroom were very clean! The a/c worked very well. The laundry room was clean and it was a nice surprise the washer and dryer were free! The motel staff were very professional and helpful. The only down side is our room was by the stairs and the door to the stairs is pretty noisy when it closes. A lot if people use the door late at night to go out and smoke. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BOOKING ISSUES We are members of the IHG club and was hoping for better service. I booked a smoking king bed room 3 weeks in advance. The day of check in we arrived at 2:50 and everything went smoothly until we were told for some unknown reason they stuck us in a non-smoking room. The main reason we book with Candlewood Suites is for the simple fact they have smoking rooms. Then I was told "Oh wait we have a smoking double bed room available". GREAT right? No...two minutes later the lady told me I'm sorry that's not available either...We didn't have any other choice since our card was already charged and we had a prior engagement a mile away, we had to be ready within the hour to go. I was hoping for some kind of compensation since they complete messed up our reservations BUT that was never offered. Very Disappointed! August 8, 2013

For instance I asked for a set of clean towels and washcloths and only received the towels. Asked several days in a row if I could buy stamps (I was in class and had no time to go to the Post Office); they were out and not inclined to get more. Overall I would stay there again. The irritating little stuff is just part of every day life. Even so, I think their customer service could use a boost. March 7, 2013
