    If you don't have pets make sure you ask every hotel if it is pet friendly

    After driving 13 hours we arrived at our prebooked accommodation to see a very large dog outside the property. When asked the front desk indicated that they were pet friendly. I do not recall (from my conversation on booking with the front desk) when I asked how this brand compared to Holiday Inns - I was told they were superior to the one in the area. Based on this recommendation I booked. The front desk should tell all guests when they are booking that they are pet friendly. In spite of that - we were stuck, we had to stay there, there were no other hotels. My clothing was covered in pet fur from sitting on a chair. When the front desk were shown the clothing I had to ask for a lint brush, they did not offer to come and clean the room (even though they the assured me all rooms had special cleaning processes after PET guest had stayed in them!!!!) It was close to midnight - I was mortified........ I am still very upset with this stay.......

    Candlewood Harrisonburg is like my home when away on business. A quiet, peaceful place to relax. Good access to local restaurants and stores.

    Nice hotel

    The suite was very nice, clean and comfortable. There are many HD TV channels which always helps make for a comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly.
