Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Away from Home My suite was clean and comfortable and also provided a lounge chair and a desk in addition to the full kitchen. Anytime I had a question, I found the desk staff to be courteous and friendly. The room was spacious so that I could have visitors from our wedding party at times. Although the hotel is located close to busy highways, there was no sound disturbance. It was very quiet. I would definitely recommend Candlewood Suites. August 22, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Beds!! When we arrived the lobby was busy, and they did not have very many rooms ready after Check-in time. During check in we were denied the government rate due to we do not live in this state. Once we got off the elevator onto the floor of our room there was a strong smoke smell in the hallway. It appeared all of the rooms were non smoking on this floor. Once in the room the leather chairs were extremely worn and the leather was cracking all over the chair. The beds were extremely uncomfortable causing us to not get much rest. Had issues with one of the keys working and it took several attempts to get a set of keys that worked. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Family Overnight Experience Checked into the Hattiesburg Candlewood Suites, which was our first experience with the brand, and found the hotel to be very accomodating and clean. The room was comfortable and quiet, with plenty of space, as well as very clean. The staff was friendly, informative, courteous, and professional. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked another room at the Candlewood Suites in Alexandria, Louisiana on our way home. We rate this hotel brand at the top of the hotels we have stayed in, based upon accomodations, cleanliness, professionalism of staff, price, and comfort, and reccommend it to other families traveling and seeking the same. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great room, marginal service. The room was excellent...the service was somewhat less stellar. While trying to book the room, I called three times and was put on hold all three times. I was disconnected one of those three times. When I arrived, it took nearly 20 minutes to check in. There was just a single person in front of me and 3-5 folks behind the desk. I needed to leave a day early so I called the front desk a week early and told them. The night before I checked out, I called down to confirm that they knew I was leaving early. They did not. I reminded them. The next morning I went to check out. Apparently they forgot, again, to annotate that I was leaving that day. August 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice overnight I really enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel. The beds were comfy, linens perfect, and staff friendly. The only thing I do not like about Candlewood Suites is that you must pay for items you forget (toothpaste, razor, etc) and there is no breakfast. I understand that this is often a long-term type hotel, but for the price of the room, I don't think getting these two things for free would hurt. August 6, 2014
