Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by First stay at a Candlewood This was our first stay at a Candlewood and we were surprised at what we found. We had thought of this IHG brand as more of as long-term residential sort of hotel which it is, but it was a cut above what we expected. Very nice, very well-kept, once you get to the suite. Not much of a lobby, but that was unimportant to us. Very limited choices of where to eat close by so the "cupboard" was a welcome surprise. We'd stay again. December 2, 2014

Very accomodating to any request and always friendly and pleasant. Bed is very comfortable, kitchen and bathroom are sufficient for a long term stay. The TV needs addressing because it is not what you would expect for a long term stay. Overall, the location is excellent. I would highly recommend other than the TV situation. November 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Warm and welcoming staff/front desk. There are a lot of hotel choices in the DC area and in the past I've allowed my company's travel dept. to make that decision for me. However, after staying at the CS-Dulles, Herndon, I make a point to let our travel associates know that this is where I want to stay... each week. Not only is the location convenient to restaurants and shopping but the facility is clean, modern and the rooms are very comfortable. One CS staff member stands out in particular and that is Abraham. He is so complimentary, makes a point to smile and welcome me when I arrive and goes above and beyond to make sure my stay is enjoyable. I highly recommend the CS in Herndon. November 18, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bad start but good experience! Our stay began with a problem, but thankfully it was quickly resolved. From stepping off the elevator to entering our room there was a sickening smell in the hallway and, even worse, in our room. We called the front desk immediately and he came right up with a key for a new room in the next hall. Just the difference walking down that hall was amazing -- it seemed brighter, cleaner, newer looking and, most important, smelled like it, too! The rest of our stay went well. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had dishes and pots and pans with a full refrigerator, microwave, and glass top burners. The complimentary laundry was a plus and we would have used it if it had been available later on our two week trip. The only downside was the recliner -- though it appeared fairly new, it was hard and very uncomfortable. We would have preferred a couch or loveseat to relax on and watch TV in the evenings, but since we were there on a 5000 point breaker deal that option was not available. Maybe next time when we are paying we'll spring for a room with a couch! :) November 4, 2014
