Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room smelled like cigarettes Even though I stayed at a non-smoking room, the room still smelled like cigarettes. The reception desk said that the hotel used to allow smoking but they can't get the smell out even though they repainted the rooms. The smell in the room wasn't old, it was PUNGENT as if someone had JUST smoked in that room. They had no other rooms available. Overall, I would've given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the smell. Hands down great service from multiple staff members who were genuinely pleasant .I'd stay there again and from now on its my go-to for Indianapolis. November 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL & STAFF Our stay was fun. The staff were all great. Plus, we happened to be there on their cookout night for the guests. They were very accommodating & attentive to our needs. We stayed in the wheelchair accessible room as my husband has a spinal cord injury. The room was set up properly for his special needs. The only thing bad about our choice in this hotel was that we were not close to the race track as we thought. But, being close to the airport was satisfactory. November 5, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellence At It's Finest. I've stayed at numerous Candlewood Suites in recent years thanks to work. All of the hotels has it's pros and cons but it's the staff that really makes the difference with the stay. This is the most friendliest staff I've encountered in all of my stays at a hotel. They are extremely friendly and always go out of their way to make sure my stay at this hotel is home away from home. Great staff overall,Every staff here really knows what they are doing and they do things the way it's supposed to be and what you expect from a hotel. The GM is very kind and friendly , Unlike number of other GM's I ran into different Candlewoods. They also have an awesome greeting dog at the front desk that greets guests from time to time. I would recommend this to anyone who is traveling to Indy and in search of a hotel. This hotel has the blueprint to what all hotels should be like. Excellence at it's Finest. September 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice place Only didn't get an excellent because I managed to spill some water on the kitchen floor and used a towel to wipe it up. The floor was not very clean. Turning the water from the tub to the shower took a little trial and error too. But all else in my suite was great. I like both Candlewood and their sister "competitors". After this stay, I'm thinking Candlewood is a better value, although the location of the "competitor" in Indy-airport area is more convenient. I would recommend a stay at this hotel. The suite was outfitted very nicely. The studio rooms are a little smaller. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. NIce and pet friendly too! September 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place and convenient This hotel is very convenient to everything around Indy and the staff was very friendly. There are a few Cons this time around. The lazy boy and sofa in our room had a bad musty smell. The wall in bedroom area sounded like it had a constant drip and banged all through the night. I am not sure if the wall in question is the main wet wall but I think that it may be and should be taken care of immediately. The bed this time was hard as a rock. I've stayed at this hotel previously and I've always had a soft supportive bed until now. Hopefully this was just a fluke and not the case in every room. August 21, 2013

I come because of the friendliness, cleanliness, and it is close to downtown. This year I had another couple come with me and they enjoyed their stay also. Thank you for making my stays both enjoyable......I love the pool & hot tub, the fitness room and now the free laundry. August 18, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst hotel every Plane was late. Called for airport pickup and informed none offered despite advertising airport pick up. Taxi for the four of us $30 and another $30 after stay , total $60. Rooms reserved not assigned as we discovered the next morning, that our two boys were NOT given a room with two beds as reserved, one sleep on couch tather than call us after midnight when we got rooms. TV in there room inoperative and TV in our room had bad volumne control. Also our ath tub dripped water all nite. We got rooms changed next morning. As I titled this was the worst hotel we have stayed in in a very long time. August 16, 2013

Room kitchenette had what I needed. No vanity in bathroom for your toiletries but this was probably due to being assigned a handicap room; first stay at Candlewood so unsure how the other rooms are laid out. Personal copy of daily newspaper available in lobby. Limited restaurant choices nearby, but easy access to interstate for business, restaurants, shopping. June 2, 2013
