Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I expected The hotel website states: During your stay at the hotel's property in Irving, TX, enjoy complimentary access to LA Fitness. Well, not really. Front desk told me there is dispute on whether or not they allow hotel guests to visit so I didn't try this amenity - shame as it was one of the primary reasons I chose the hotel. Also note that maid/cleaning service is once a week and may not occur at all if you stay less than a week. That means smelly trash and no coffee refills (yes, you can go to pantry but at extra cost and inconvenience). Major pain: Room key did not work at first b/c it was keyed to wrong room, then again 2 days later b/c check out date was keyed incorrectly! Both required a trip back downstairs to resolve. Once with bags and once while on time constraint. No bueno! July 18, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good business room and hotel The only negatives I can think of are room size and location. The room was a little small compared to other Holiday Inn chain hotels, but that did not bother me at all, since I am a lone business worker. The location is a little tricky, as it's not on a main road, but I got used to the zigs and zags after a time or two. The rest of my experience was top great. I especially like the desktop area to work: large, 4 electrical plugs at desk, lots of lighting, and A/C worked great. Bathroom would be considered small if you were sleeping two people or more, but no problem for me alone. I would highly recommend this hotel for business workers. April 20, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value The location is little difficult to find on my GPS since it is on little bit of tricky side of the road. The front lobby isn't that impressive and the person at the front desk seemed to be not care so much of your IHG membership level. However, the room is much better than I was expecting it. It was large and pretty clean and well organized. The price was also very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again despite the front desk staff. April 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Candlewood Ever!!!!! This hotel definitely deserves to be recognized as the best Candlewood in the chain!!! The staff was very efficient, as well as, informative and very attentive. Although this was a national chain, the staff made you feel like you were staying at a local bed and breakfast. Management was on top of everything and it showrd in all aspects of the property. Although the entire staff was terrific, I would like to recognize Roxanne as an employee that definitely deserves a raise. She went over and above, from her smile, sense of humor and and a great attitude. Candlewood Suites nationwide could take a lesson from her on how to handle the front desk!!! March 16, 2014
