    It was a good value and had excellent service. The $6.00 coupon for breakfast at the Hyvee was not a good value. We would have been better off just ordering off the menu.

    Great accomodations

    This was the first time at this Candlewood Suites and it met all my needs. The service was fast and efficient and the hotel staff was very friendly. The room was very tidy. I would recommend this Candlewood Suites to my friends.

    Don't expect breakfast

    I was not aware that this property did not provide a free beakfast. The front desk and reservation staff was 10 out of 10 helpful, facilititating a late check in for this business traveler.

I apologize that you were not informed that we don't have a free breakfast. All of our rooms have full kitchens, and breakfast is available for purchase in our Candlewood Cupboard. You can purchase ready to eat breakfast items in there, or make breakfast in your room. You should have been informed of this when you checked in, and I'm sorry that you weren't. I will address this with my staff, so we are not causing confusion for future guests. I'm very happy to hear that you found our staff to be very helpful, and that we were able to accommodate a late check in for you! I'm sure that as a business traveler, a hassle free check-in and stay are very important to you. We strive to be as helpful and friendly as possible for each of our guests, so there are no problems.     Not bad, not the great

    Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean and had everything you would need for an extended stay, except a luggage holder. Had to lay suitcase on the floor because there was no where to put it out except the ironing board. Large closet with enough room to place a luggage holder in. Should have throw away glasses in bathroom. Towels were very nice in bathroom. However the bed was very hard and not very comfortable. Wish hotel would post menus in rooms. Wasn't aware they served breakfast or dinner until second night when I walked through carrying the dinner I just bought. Beef stew smelled so good I had to try it. It was excellent! Was homemade and not frozen warm ups. Need to add soda or water to coolers with beer. Not a bad place to stay. Need beds that are more comfortable and tweaking of a few other things to make it better.

    Dear RobSS, Thank you for sharing your experience with us !I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed your room, and that you found our staff to be nice and helpful! I have passed along your suggestion that we put luggage racks in the closets to upper management and ownership. In the meantime, we do have a large executive table in every suite, and a dresser as well, where we often recommend setting luggage if a guest does not wish to set it on one of the chairs in the room. We do have a guest appreciation meal on Wednesday nights, and I apologize that you were not made aware of it. I'm happy that you still got a chance to try out the food, though! I made the beef stew that night myself and it is so rewarding to hear that you enjoyed it! For future reference, though our cooler isn't big enough to hold sodas, bottled waters, and the beer we offer, we do allow guests to take a can of soda or bottle or water from the coolers in our Candlewood Cupboard during this meal time. We don't serve a breakfast at the hotel, but we do have a variety of options available for breakfast in the morning - every suite has a kitchen in it, and we offer items for purchase in our Cupboard that can be quickly heated up or cooked, along with plenty of "to go" options, such as muffins, danishes, oatmeal cups, granola bars, etc. For a hot, cooked to order breakfast option, we have vouchers available for purchase to a grocery store restaurant located just two blocks from the hotel. I also want to let you know that we have some mattress toppers for those guests who prefer a softer mattress, based on availability. Please let us know the next time you want to stay so we can check on the availability of a mattress topper for you! I hope you'll also get a chance to try out some of our other amenities on your next stay, such as our complimentary Lending Locker, where guests can borrow small kitchen appliances, office supplies, games, and other miscellaneous items, our complimentary Lending Library of DVDs, and our 24 hour fitness and business centers, just to name a few!
