Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 4 plus weeks home away from home I just spend the last four plus weeks in your hotel in good comfort. After waiting for a room to open, it was a pleasure to find an extended stay in Jeff City. I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite; it makes a big difference when spending so much time away from home. The front desk staff has been very friendly and helpful (Jake in particular). The area is very convenient, 10 minutes from downtown, close to all the shopping you would need, across from YMCA (great place to work out) I like the free laundry (need more washing less dryers) and the ability to borrow various kitchen appliances; it makes it easier to do some real cooking. The room was comfortable and quiet. To make it perfect, a larger counter and an oven would be nice. One negative, the persistent smell of smoke inside my room, even after using an ionizer, spray with deodorizer and opening windows, and my cooking nothing seam to work; the rugs and fabric need to be steamed cleaned. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable Bed Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Woke up every morning with my back hurting. I finally checked out and went to another hotel after 3 nights. The walls are very thin. I could hear everything next door, from the guests opening their refridgerator to them opening drawers and cabinets. The staff was always nice and friendly. They only clean the rooms once a week. If you need towels you have to bring your dirty towels to the front desk and they will give you clean ones. If you need toliet paper you have to go to the front desk to get this as well. I don't like that at all. I like clean towels everyday and I refuse to go to the front desk to get them every day. They give you three towels for a whole week. Really? I would not stay at this hotel again and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone. November 18, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad, but not that great, either. This Candlewood is maybe the best hotel in town, but that says more about Jefferson City than the Candlewood. Rooms were pretty clean, the hotel is generally quiet. All in all, not bad and a good value. Major gripes: absolutely horrible WiFi, it basically stops working from 5 to midnight, forget streaming. The mattresses are old and saggy, putting memory foam on top of a bad mattress doesn't fix the problem. The televisions are small and you can't turn them as they are mounted to the wall. The owners need to spend some money to make this place nice. August 21, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room 132 needs a new bed The "extended stay" hotel offers great bbq and picnic areas in addition to free movie rental with rooms that are equipped with DVD's. Wednesday's also features free food and drink night. However, room 132 has a bed which had lost all of it's support and although comfy, by day 3 my back was killing me. It's a week later and the improvement is still really slow. I almost saw my doctor but I feel fine otherwise and not sure it would help other than getting pain medication. Anyways, the hotel staff and facilities make an honest attempt to keep your business and the kitchen was well equipped. Unfortunately, the bed was so far out of acceptable, I would not stay here again, even for one night. I travel quite a bit for work but have never had that experience. Management should re-evaluate the condition of their mattresses. I asked for a different room on the last night but they were saving those for would-be customers. They installed a pillow-top bed topper thinking that was going to help stiffen the bed. Not quite. My back was hurting too much to move. June 19, 2013
