Our stay was made enjoyable because the property was clean in appearance as well as tangibly. There were sufficient amenities supplied and clean towels as requested. The staff were courteous and helpful in meeting our needs. We would recommend this facility to others travelling in the area. December 3, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not What I Expected Room smelled bad, like stale cooking grease or something like that. Statement I signed at check in threatened a hefty cleaning fee if I brought in a pet, but that same level of cleaning needed to be done to this room to get the grease smell out. This is a potential risk when getting a room with a complete kitchen in it. November 26, 2014

Our room was beautiful, clean, and the kitchen allowed us access to snacks whenever we wanted them. There was a corn hole game in the lobby that we played several times leading to lots of laughs. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stay here only if you have too! I wasn't greeted when I got there. The first thing that was said to me was verifying the credit card. Most of the times I went through the lobby, host/management seemed to be hiding behind a half wall behind front desk. I was supposed to get a non smoking room due to health reasons. I got a smoking complete with ash tray. Luckily, I wasn't in my room much, but I'm still feeling the effects of staying in a room with smoke. Thermostat didn't work. One of the many little signs in the room said to wait several minutes. I waited an hour. Room was freezing. Luckily, I was able to control from wall unit. Carpet still had dirt footprints on it. Insect fecal matter appeared to be on bottom of tissue box in cabinet. I didn't look anywhere or want to pick up anything else. Bath towel used to step onto out of shower turned a yellowish color from floor when it got a bit wet from shower overspray. Not sure if this was from tar or urine (ewww). Dust and fuzz on towel shelf. Definite room odor. Refrigerator leaked water on inside, and out into kitchen floor (puddle on last day). I had a roll in a paper bag (and nothing else) that I was going to eat for breakfast. Bag fell a part when I picked it up, and roll was soaked with water. Elevator carpet looks as if it's been flooded. All carpets looks like it needs to be shampooed. Most carpets look like they've had water damage up against walls for some reason. In order to get clean towels and linens, dirty ones have to be carried to front desk to exchange for clean ones. I didn't want to do this due to yellow towel statement above. Plus, I don't feel like I should have to carry my towels/linens downstairs when I'm paying for services. I'm assuming I would have to put clean sheets on bed myself as well. I understand maid service not coming in to do a full cleaning during stay, but I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't not have light maid services during the day... at least to straighten up the bed and change trash. This hotel did absolutely nothing the whole time I was there. This hotel is not very old, and beds already have the 2 dips from people sleeping on them. This hotel looks as if it's 15 years old, and had a few updates with laminate and counter tops. Upon checking out, I did tell host of some of the issues. Not all because I was just ready to leave. I was happy to leave. I was in Jonesboro to enjoy the weekend. There was a big game in town so hotels were booked/packed, or I would've have went somewhere else. I have stayed at other Candlewood Suites that are nice. We stay at a lot of hotels. Most have a few issues, but are tolerable (there's no place like home). I hope I never have to stay at another place like this. It was a complete fail. The stay has definitely changed the way I look at Candlewood Suites:( November 13, 2014
