Clean and comfortable room. No problems. Carrabba's Italian Grill across the street but I wanted Cajun food so I walked about a half-mile to a nice cajun restaurant with live music. I forget the name but ask the front desk and they will tell you the name and point the way.

The hotel seemed to be clean and up to date enough.
The staff were courteous and helpful with check out.
The room itself seemed a little cramped, but the major problem was the design of the AC unit.
The unit is controlled with a motion sensor.
This resulted in a hot room when you entered.....and then a delay in taht hot room of about 10 min before it kicked on.
It also resulted in the unit being shut off after we fell aslepp (and stopped moving i presume). We woke at 3am in a HOT room and after i got out of bed and moved around the unit kicked back on.
Bad deisgn. I would rather not sleep in a room with this type system again.

A/C leaked, fridge was extremely noisy. Staff was friendly but did nothing to alleviate the problems.

Room and staff were very good. I only have one negative thing to say and that is the noise from the street and parking lot was very loud. That made it difficult to sleep. Having said that it was other wise a nice hotel.

The people here just look at you like as to say, "What, you want ME to do something about that?" when you have a problem. It was all the employees too, not sure why. I had problems getting connected to the internet and had they said their internet was having problems and I said well I kind of have to have that for this business trip that is 2 weeks long. So, the dude finally gave me a # to call to talk with their ISP. Well, after 45 minutes I finally had Wifi something that normally takes 5 seconds. This was the same problem for everyone with a Windows computer. Then, the range of the Wifi was horrible, barely any signal in my room, it would cut out all the time, and it was extremely sloooooowww. Also, I smelled smoke coming into my room from the hall a few days in a row because someone was smoking like a chimney in their room. I told the front desk and they said, "Oh, that's a $300 fine" but, only smelled around people's doors and when they found the room that they thought was the one they didn't even knock. The problem was never solved. I could go on and on about more but, I think this says enough to for people to know to STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

The hotel itself was nice enough, fairly new and clean, but the staff could not have cared less about the guests. I arrived for check-in at about 2:30 and was told curtly there were no clean rooms available, but that there would be by 3 p.m. I sat in the lobby near an obviously annoyed man who'd requested an early check-in before he arrived only to find himself waiting like me.
I was given a key at about 3:15 to a room with two queen beds (I'd reserved a king) and when I got upstairs I found a carpet that had obviously not been vacuumed. I went downstairs and told the desk the room was wrong and the floor was dirty. I was given a cursory "sorry" and the desk manager chastised the maid for saying the room was clean then acknowledging it hadn't been vacuumed.
When I finally got into my room at about 3:45, I turned on the a/c and piled up on the bed for a nap. I was awakened at about 4:15 by a maid opening the door and asking, "Is anybody in here?" I bolted upright and told her there was. "Sorry," she said and closed the door. Dozed off again only to have another maid walk into the room 20 minutes later asking if it was occupied. I would've thought they'd have some record of which rooms were occupied.
The night was okay (I bolted the door). Checked out the next morning without any greeting or notice by the front desk. I've accepted that customer service isn't what it used to be anywhere, but these workers could not have been less concerned with making guests comfortable.

I have stayed many times at a Candlewood and have loved it. This WAS NOT one of those times. The Candlewood cupboard was bare. There was little to choice from and the prices were high. The staff were fighting right outside my room at 7:30 am. The manager of the cleaning staff was yelling at someone because they didnt wash the towels yesterday.
Room was not very clean and smelled funny

Hotel is located near hub of city with access to everything easy. Including, good Italian food across the street. Room was spacious and equipped with near full kitchen. Pet friendly with green space to walk dogs.

After several visits to the front desk about cleaning the room since they only clean the room once a week. It took 10 days for them to clean room. This includes towels, trash and making up the bed. If you need any of that done you will have to do it yourself. I would not recommend this hotel to nobody.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and everything functioned properly. Excellent accomodations. Easy Access. Carrabas restaurant and others across the street. Excellent shopping area too.

I have stayed at this hotel on several business trips with no issues other than the internet service is somewhat slow.
The rooms are clean / comfortable and the staff was VERY ACCOMMODATING to my needs during my stay. I would recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

We booked this hotel to stay at while visiting friends and family in the area. We were traveling with our infant daughter, so it was important that we have two separate rooms so we could all get a good night's sleep. After looking online and booking a suite, we got to the hotel and realized that the room we were given was not an actual suite. There was a kitchen area and the bed in the same room. After going downstairs and talking with the young man on duty, my husband came back we we moved a few doors down to an accessible room that was two separate rooms. The room was clean and comfortable and just what we needed.It was equipped with plates, cups and even dish washing soap! The laundry is free to all guest as well which was wonderful. The bed in this room was not a king, which we paid for, but I was pleased with the overall size of the room. All the staff was friendly as well.

I was in my room in bed in the morning and housekeeping just came in without knocking, Im glad I had the extra lock on the door, so no privacy there at all.

Warmly greeted when we checked in after a harrowing drive in bad rainstorm from New Orleans. Felt welcome and got a great recommendation for authentic Cajun dinner just a mile down the road. Room exceeded expectations. Immaculately clean. Very comfortable bed. Value exceeded price we paid. Thank you for a comfortable and pleasant night's lodging. Will stay here again next time we are in Lafayette.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here at this very well maintained location. The staff was very cordial and knew a lot about the area.The room was clean and the spacious enough. Our only problem was with the internet.We could not get on line with either the laptop or the ipad. They connected us with tthheir technical support and got the ipad connected but not the laptop. This was the first time this has happened to us on our very long road trip.

Bed was comfortable, curtains great, desk was worn, chair at desk was inappropriate for working on desk, recliner was severely worn. Bath was great - adequate clean linens and soap and shampoo. Complementary coffee was great (prefer Community).
Outside entrances and grounds were TOTALLY infested with ants! They were re-mediated nightly, but walking through a swarm of ants on the sidewalk is disconcerting.
Considering location the hotel was exceptionally quiet, a very good positive about the facility.

This place is one of the best places in town. I stay at this place everytime I come to Lafayette and usually its no less than a few days a week every month. The staff and the management team are great at this location and do everything they can to make sure that you're happy and have a great stay. Raquel and Suzette are the most helpful managers I have come across at any hotel.

I have been staying weekly at a Houston Candlewood Suites for the past year. When I check in I initial stating wether I have a pet or not and it is a $15.00 deposit if I do. I was shocked to see that when I checked into this one it was a $75.00 deposit. I used my points to get the room and thought I was getting a good deal, BUT, little did I know I had gotten a suite for my dog. I think this price needs to be consistant across all of your hotels.

This is a great location to get around to some of the hot food spots in Lafayette...Blue Dog Cafe, Jolie's, Hub City Diner. The staff is great and very helpful at every turn...I do mean turn by turn too. Great directions from staff member to get across town avoiding traffic. We will definitely stay here again next visit to Lafayette.

After a long day on the road I like to relax in the comfort of a nice hotel room. That also includes a cocktail. Since there are no ice machines in the hotel and the ice makers in the freezer are turned off when I check in, I have no ice.
I recently stayed at another hotel in San Antonio that had ice machines on every floor, a refrigerator and microwave. There's one down the street from your hotel in Lafayette. I'll be staying there in the future.

The staff was great and knowledgable! Gave me good advice as to where to eat. Gave me some band-aids when I was in need. Plus they were very accomodating to a long term guest that was having issues with their suite when I was checking in.

I travel a great deal and it is wonderful to walk into any establishment that treats you like a person! I was made to feel welcomed form check in to check out. The room was very clean and most comfortable. This is truly a beautiful hotel with many extras. I will return on my next trip to Lafayette.
