I have been visiting Orange Co a lot in the last year and tried a few moderate price hotels. This is my favorite. I like the desk area, with lots of space to work. The rooms are pretty spacious, modern, clean and easy to be in. The beds and bedding are comfortable. I am happy to stay here. If you need a very quiet room, this won't be perfect because the air conditioner and refrigerator are not the quietest, but I also never hear noise from other rooms. I would like if there was a little bit more of a lobby area. The hotel has a snack area, of vending machine quality, so I tend to avoid it. The mini-gym suffices. The staff is nice, but I hardly ever see them since the hotel offers very few services.
I have been here several times, and will be back.

Stadard rooms are very nice. Would suggest upgrading to a suite, if you are staying for more than a week or not. Like being in an apartment.
Overall, the place is clean and well kept.
Staff is very helpfull. Upgrade me to suite on one week stay, that did it for me, suits from now on.
Staff is also very honest. Left my favorite traveling hair drier. Came back three weeks later, and checked. They had it in a bag with my name and room number. What else can you say, but thanks!

Recently had the pleasure to stay in a one bedroom room for 4 nights. Having a nice kitchen and sitting area was a great change to the small hotel rooms I experience each week. The cost per night was on par to other area hotels but offer you more space. It felt more like home. If you are a road warrior, try this out and you will appreciate a much better evening relaxing.

We always stay at Candlwood Suites at least 2 or 3 times a year. The rooms since the remodel are wonderful and the staff is exceptional!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Timy Great Service, reasonable add on for a dog
The power went out in our part of Lake Forest last weekend for an extended period of time. I called a few local hotels that alllow dogs. The add on price was $100 at most of them. Candlewood only charged $15. The room was clean, with a fridge, microwave and cooktop. Excellent value!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jess16 Comfortable Bed, Mediocre Hotel
For a hotel that pairs up with the Wine Artist nearby, you would think that it would be of a higher standard. However, when walking through it, you feel as if you are in a motel. The smell was funky in the hallways, and the Cupboard was plain, to say the least.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by kmfink Great place to stay in OC
This is a great hotel. The rooms are clean and well appointed for the price. The full refrigerator and small kitchen is nice if you're planning to stay a couple of days or longer. The building itself is nothing spectacular but the room and bed were comfortable, it's easy to get to, and the staff are pleasant and helpful. If you're needing to stay in the Irvine area, you could do far worse than staying here for the price.
