Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Smoking room and weekend rates I travel up and down I-75 a few times each year and always stay at Candlewood Suites. I find the rooms very well appointed and clean. That said, this location is the only one I have stayed at where the smoking rooms absolutely reek, every time; perhaps the staff could check with other locations to find out what they do to freshen theirs. This location is also the only one that never seems to have reasonable weekend rates in line with the rest; the rate is usually nearly double what is charged by the Candlewood Suite that I stay at the night before or after this one (also on the weekend). I am always told that this is due to some event or another and that "corporate" will not allow a lower rate despite the obvious vacancy. June 15, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable beds. Upon arrival we were recognized as platinum members, room was ready and staff was great. We checked into our room and had to leave for a picnic and concert later. When we returned to our room it seem like some one had been smoking. I called the front desk and told them it seem to be smoky in the hallway and now smoke was in my room. I was in room 313. The front desk clerk informed me that they had rooms on the 3rd floor that were smoking rooms. Rooms 300 - 310 were smoking rooms. She said that we could move to the second floor because it was a non smoking floor. My family will be staying at hotels that are non smoking hotel in the near future. We really like the hotel, but the smoke was sickening. June 4, 2014
