Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Traveling with pet. I always stay in Candlewood Suites during my travels. I brought my 15 lb. dog with me this time and was astonished to see that I was charged $75 pet fee for one night. Every other Candlewood that I have stayed in charges only $15 per night. This charge was excessive plus I was never tolld the charge upfront. My fault I guess for assuming! Internet was out. Phone in room was broken. Coffee pot in cupboard was broke! July 7, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by If I had known, I wouldn't have booked it Hotel was clean. I slept well and room was fine. However, the room type I reserved on IHG was sold out. Also the Internet was down for guest, need this for work, and never would have stayed if I had known. When I checked in no one told me this. Management called me the next day to apologize, unfortunately the damage was done. Cost me my time, my companies time and sleep; and put be behind for the next day. June 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always a pleasant stay I travel to Macon 15-20 times a year. I have tried several other hotels, but will not use any other now. The location is quiet, yet conveneient to town. The staff and management are VERY service oriented - a lost art in today's world. The value of this hotel is the best, too. I can generally stay here for under $100 a night - very good for a clean, comfortable room that includes a kitchen. I recommend this specific Candlewood Suites to anyone I know that is anywhere near Macon; i have even stayed here when my work takes me to the Atlanta area because of the above reasons. ONE COMPLAIT: The towels at all Candlewood Suites - not just Macon - are the coarsest, toughest towels i ever use on the road (and I travel 4-5 days a week); try softer towels or at least some softener. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Macon Candlewood Suites This hotel is my first choice of hotels to stay in when I need to stay in Macon for business or pleasure. The staff here are absolutely wonderful! Every single one wears a smile and always finds a minute to ask you about your day, etc. Many of the staff even call me by name now, which is so refreshing. Hopefully they don't do so because I've made a pest of myself! This hotel is super clean and never seems to have anything out of place. The housekeeping staff have always accomodated me if I see them in the hall and need something. The Macon Candlewood Suites definitely has wonderful southern charm and hospitality. June 13, 2014

The only drawback: no daily room cleanup. They usually only clean and straighten room and beds weekly. I expected linens and towels to be replaced daily. June 4, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great Employees but horrible sleep quality Upon arriving we were given a room with 2 full beds instead of the 2 queens that we made the reservation for so the 2nd day they did move us at no extra cost. (which turned out to be a horrible mistake) , every night thereafter there was so much noise we were unable to sleep and our 2 and 4 year olds were woken up EVERY NIGHT. Upon contacting the office to let them know , they did apologize but didn't do anything about it... They just explained that there were teenage soccer players there for 2 of the nights and another night there was a family reunion (people drinking in the hallways and running up and down cussing and being loud and obnoxious). The people across the hall had their tv playing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse all night at a level that could be heard through theirs and our door and loud enough to wake my children up at midnight. The employees didn't seem to care that we paid for our room just as the other people did, on 2 occasions, after calling to inform the front desk that the noise level was unbearable, I had to go knock on peoples doors myself and ask them to keep it down. My advice, stay somewhere else if you want to rest... May 31, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good value If you are looking for a clean, quiet (could hear people in hallway but they quickly passed) convenient place to stay, then this is a good choice. There are not a lot of amenities; no free breakfast. I had a mini kitchen with microwave, stove top, full size refrigerator with ice maker. The room was a nice size. Since I am a smoker, the fact that the window actually opened a few inches was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean but smelled a little like smoke but that's just the way it goes! Overall, very clean. I did not like the bed linens but I am picky that way! The hotel staff was very friendly and always willing to be helpful. Dog friendly, smoker friendly, reasonably priced, clean, convenient, and a friendly staff- what more could you ask for? Thank you! May 23, 2014

The service staff was always very attentive and did a great job cleaning the room and providing with any thing needed. The only problem was the printer in the business center. It ran out of toner and didn't have a replacement for almost 2 weeks. April 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay! We came to town for the Cherry Blossum Festival and expected to have a hard time finding a room. Being an I H G member must of helped because Joy greeted us warmly and got us to our room in record time. Joy was very friendly and helpful. The property manager also offered additional help after I realized I had forgotten a necessary cable for my PC. The room was better than we expected and we had a great nights sleep. If we come back to the area, we will definitely stay here if possible. Great place and people. March 31, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Joy was a Joy for Weary Travelers! The customer service provided by Joy was AMAZING! She did everything to accommodate the fact that my mom is disabled and on oxygen; she found a 1st floor room near a entry point. There were a couple of items that were a little shocking. 1. There was still garbage in our night table drawer - a Doritos bag to be exact. 2. Our room keys would not work in our door. We could have had to move to a second floor room, but instead chose to stay where we were since it was so close to the entry door. Incidentally, the keys stopped allowing access through the side entry door about 10 am even though check out time is not until 12 pm. One stopped working and then the other about 15 minutes later. That was a little bit of a nuisance when we were trying to load up our car. March 11, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Candelwood Suites Macon Great customer service from the front desk! They provided me with a room near the exit, as I requested, because I had to make several trips in and out. The kitchen added great convenience. I had a room with two double-beds, so it was a tight squeeze for two people moving around with a kitchen inside the room. Also, be aware the kitchen does not have a stove. So don't plan on baking a piazza! But, the property was beautiful and a great place for walking pets! I would definitely stay there again. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Ok experience In my line of work communication through internet is critical. It seems I had the one room that the wifi did not work. All the rooms had hbo except mine. The cupboard was always empty. On two occasions I went for coffe and just hot water came out. I always try to stay at a Candlewood suites whenever I can, but I must say the comfort of the room and the cleanliness of the hotel was satisfactory, however everything else was sub standard. The room was cold and when we got up in the morning it was 68 degree's in our room. It would have been helpful if there was a blanket on the bed or one we could put on left in the closet or something. . January 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Clean & Spacious Room!! Spent the night here while in Macon for daughter's Competition Cheer meet. Front Desk Clerk was extremely courteous and very efficient. Had key and directions to room within less than 5 minutes. When entering the room, was extremely surprised at the spaciousness of it. VERY roomy, without a "cramped" feeling at all. Room, bed, bath and kitchen all clean and neat. When making reservations, the clerk on duty (I called the location direct) was EXTREMELY patient and helpful. While this is not a "high end" hotel, if you are looking for comfortable, clean and quiet place to spend a night or two, without having to spend an arm or leg.... then this is the place. Will definately stay here in future,and would recommend it to anyone without any hesitation. October 29, 2013

They not only had rooms for all of us but were very accomodating and tried to fulfil our every need to make us comfortable & welcome, knowing we had no idea how long we would be in Macon. We utilized every aspect of the facility & fully enjoyed our stay even though we were there for work! Would highly recommend this hotel for short or long time stays! October 3, 2013
