Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Clean & Spacious Room!! Spent the night here while in Macon for daughter's Competition Cheer meet. Front Desk Clerk was extremely courteous and very efficient. Had key and directions to room within less than 5 minutes. When entering the room, was extremely surprised at the spaciousness of it. VERY roomy, without a "cramped" feeling at all. Room, bed, bath and kitchen all clean and neat. When making reservations, the clerk on duty (I called the location direct) was EXTREMELY patient and helpful. While this is not a "high end" hotel, if you are looking for comfortable, clean and quiet place to spend a night or two, without having to spend an arm or leg.... then this is the place. Will definately stay here in future,and would recommend it to anyone without any hesitation. October 29, 2013

They not only had rooms for all of us but were very accomodating and tried to fulfil our every need to make us comfortable & welcome, knowing we had no idea how long we would be in Macon. We utilized every aspect of the facility & fully enjoyed our stay even though we were there for work! Would highly recommend this hotel for short or long time stays! October 3, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel for week long stays I enjoy the convenience of this hotel. Great location - close to eateries, grocery store, & the mall. Nice to come back to good hotel when you are in town for the week and relax. No need to head to the ice machine each evening because of full fridge in room. Internet service is fast so can get work done. Staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. September 6, 2013

It was by far the cleanest and most comfortable pace I have ever been. The staff was pleasant, helpful and patient with my questions. I would not stay anywhere else!! I also felt very safe. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 What you get vs what you expect First of all the hotel was very clean upon arrival. The rooms are spacious and nice. But beware they have two treadmills in the gym, only one works. The spa by the pool was out of service and the staff had no idea how to adjust the temperature in the gym. They do not clean your room ...only one time a week , thus the lower cost of this hotel, as compared to others in the area. But I want clean towels, clean sheets and at least the bathroom cleaned daily, thats why I am staying at a hotel. The front desk staff, especially on checkout was totally inept, The staff person thought my credit card was a debit card. I asked them to change my rewards from IHG to United Airlines and he claimed there was no "Air United", of course there is no "Air United" its just called United. Then he kept telling me that my United frequent flier number was invalid. I use that number all over the world and in every other hotel it works fine. I DEFINITELY WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN, i will pay the extra $20 to stay where they clean the rooms, change the sheets and towels. on a daily basis, There are lots of options within 1 mile. I would look for someplace else to stay next time. August 21, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff is wonderful! The staff at this Candlewood Suites is wonderful! They get to know guests quickly and will call each one by name. Everyone, from housekeeping to front desk staff, smile and speak each time they see you. They ask about your day and are interested in hearing about it. They will also recommend local places if asked. Although I don't have a pet, I've seen staff treat pets of other guests as if each one was special. I have stayed at this particular Candlewood many times, and the few times I've had a problem with my room maintance immediately attends to the issue to resolve it. The staff here show true southern hospiality! June 22, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good room but hotel hard to find The hotel was not on my GPS (first time ever that I couldn't find an address with it) and the construction around the area didn't help. Furthermore, I called for directions and was given what turned out to be, incorrect directions. I had to call back several minutes later and speak to someone else to get correct directions. It took be about 30 minutes to go through all of this and it really soured an otherwise good hotel. June 6, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great room but very unprofessional The room was great! It had all the necessities of an extended stay. The level of professionalism was horrible. There were maintenance workers that worked in the room across from me. They worked at late hours (around 10:00 PM) with the room door open. They had the TV very loud, but the worst part was their vulgarity. They were cussing constantly and speaking in detail about bodily features of their girlfriends (that I cannot put details on here). I had my TV on and could hear them plainly. Not too good for a family hotel. May 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Staff I love this location and stay here over other Macon hotels every time I go. The last time I stayed I called on my way down and they were able to accomodate me. They greet me by name and have everything correct and ready to go on my bill. Last time I stayed I called ahead to change my reservation from one bed to two, but they didn't have it recorded when I showed up. The young man at the front desk apologized all over himself and bent over backwards to make sure I had what I wanted - without any prompting. The next morning the front desk greeted me again and someone I had never met connected me with my name. I appreciate that this hotel always has a high level of quality and THE BEST professionalism and customer service of all IHG hotels. I will keep staying here and always recommend it to others. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff super friendly and accommodating Room was extremely clean. All public areas clean and pleasantly decorated. Not overly fussy but pleasantly upscale. This hotel was budget priced with an upscale feel. There were granite counters in kitchen and baths. Spacious rooms, can't say enough about the kitchenette. Included a dishwasher and full size refrigerator with ice maker. Staff went the extra mile, kitchen stocked with dishwasher detergent, dish soap, and paper towels. fully equipped kitchen. Will definitely stay there again and also venture to try other Candlewood Suites locations. April 1, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by poor room design and lackluster staff Our room had a queen bed. Unfortunately there is not enough space in the room for the bed. There was only space for one bedside night table and, on the other side of the bed, only about 6-9 inches between the bed and the wall. Rearrange for better client comfort. My wife said the bed was extremely uncomfortable for her. It was not the best night's sleep I have ever had either. The staff were good enough when they were at the front desk, but they seemed to be elsewhere whenever we passed through the lobby. Nobody was 'minding the store.' February 2, 2013

First off, when we arrived (after 10PM) the friendly desk clerk was ready with our card key and printout and check in went very quickly. (It had me wondering why it takes so long at other hotels). Behind the desk, there is an entire shelf of DVDs available to borrow on the honor system. My family and I had great fun watching a movie together in our very comfortable room. When we stopped by the desk the next morning to return the DVD, the morning clerk offered us bottled water to go. Next time I need a hotel in this area, I will definitely check into the Candlewood Suites! January 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay I have stayed here many times due to business travel. I have never had any issues and the management goes out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. The only negative issue would be the WIFI. It is very slow and at times it is difficult to handle work releated tasks. However, with all the hotels I stay in and this the only negative issue then I am lucky. Great Job Tressie. January 16, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Filthy Room I am a platinum member with Holiday Inn, and stay at many hotels. However, this was one of the worst experiences I have had. There were multiple animal hairs on our bed when we checked in. I called and got fresh sheets from the front desk. The man was very nice and brought them up to us. I ended up taking the comforter off the bed, because hairs were on it. There were also animal hairs in the bathroom and living room area. I went to the front desk the next morning before we went out shopping, and asked that the room be cleaned again. The girl helping us was very friendly and nice. However, she told me she didn't see how there were hairs in the room, because it had been cleaned......... Well, when we came back, the sheets had been changed again and the comforter washed. There were more animal hairs under each pillow........YUCK! The bathroom had not been touched! I was just really disappointed with the cleanliness. The staff was very nice, but need to clean better. This has only happened one other time in my many years with Holiday Inn... Very disappointed November 28, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Property We have been staying at this Candlewood Property ever since it opened probably about 5 years ago. Staff is very friendly and fun! (I got a trick or treat bag on Halloween!) Manager Tressy is GREAT! She remembers who you are by name and can even recognize the sound of your voice on the phone. Maintenance Man Tom is great. He offers to help you carry your bags/items in, and quickly solves any concerns that may arise. I have recommended to many of our collegues that they choose this property for their stays in Macon GA. It is so convenient to several restaurants that you can walk to, plus it is in a convenient location to several other shops. Once all the road construction is complete, the hotel will be even easier to get in and out of. The train going by was a little annoying, but all the other hotels in this location had to put up with that, also. Did not use the Cupboard so cannot comment on that. October 25, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice staff!! The staff was very nice and accommodating in allowing an early check-in when we had a last minute change of plans. The rooms was clean, spacious and the beds were comfy. The only downfall was the train that ran all night long and repeatedly woke us up. Next time I will ask for a room away from the tracks. Otherwise, nice hotel. October 19, 2012
