Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Started Great ended Poorly When i first arrived @ the Moore Candelwood Suites i was treated as i have always been treated @ IHG properties, i was treated well. Kevin the Manager was very personable as was the rest of his staff. Idid notice . There was a lot of turn around of employees, i had a few maintenance issues & there were several cleaning issues but i attributed that to the turn over of staff. At some point Kevin contacted me as he found out that i was the superintendent on a large Norman Ok construction project, he said he would like to upgrade me into a large suite & lower my rate by 5.00.per night. I was fine with the room i was in but Kevin called me a few times to try to get me to take the larger room even had his front desk service folks calling, i decided to take the room & again maintenance issues & cleaning issues. These items were resolved within a few days although the maintenance took longer. Kevin was replaced by another lady i can not recall her name but very customer friendly. She informed me on roughly 12.01.14 that her owners said they couldnt honor.the rate i was given, when i explained that Kevin the rate for the duration of my stay shesaid no problem she would explain it to her bosses. Well 3 days later a very rude nasty man called my room &.was telling me i was getting my rate raised or i could get out of his hotel, i tried to reason with this gentlemen but it was a waste of time, i tried to explain & was called a liar several times, he locked out of my room &.threatened me several times with the police but refused to call the police when i said please get them out here,, anyway after about 15 min he finally unlocked my room &.told me to get my stuff packed & get the out of his hotel, like i said he was a charmer. I eventully got to stay the night since it was already charged on my card, but i was tuld in no uncertain terms i had until 9.00am to get the out or he would have the police remove me. I have lived in hotels all over the united states for years and never a problem until i met the nasty man in the Moore Candlewood Suites December 8, 2014

As before, the room was comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was priced well below similar competitors. The only things that kept this review from getting a perfect score were the size of the bed - it's a little small for 2 adults - and the recumbent bike in the fitness center was not operable. This Candlewood is my go to hotel when visiting family in Moore. December 1, 2014
