We were having our floors done and needed a place to make home during that time. We needed to check in early and they were very accomadating. They did have to work things out to help me. So flexible a plus. The gym was a great resource for kids & I to work out for while. There is a gas grill they provide to cook and of course there is a convient kitchen.

I have stayed here for over 2 months and I can't say enough about the helpfulness of the staff. Always friendly and ready to assist with any needs. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable accommodating stay.

I love the front desk person when I came in at 2 A.M. She was vibrant and courteous and made me wake up from the long drive there! I will pick that place again when I have to stay the night between trips!

I have stayed at this Candlewood (100 Candlewood Dr., Morris Plains, NJ 07950) on several occasions in the past four years (long term stays at that) and in the beginning the management team (hotel manager and sales manager) were the best in the business. They knew how to get customers and keep them happy. The room rate was just right and I cannot say enough good things about the housekeeping and front desk staff, friendly and always accommodating. When you walked into the hotel it smelled clean and fresh and the ladies at the front desk were always there with a smile for you. But now that has all changed mainly because of the new hotel manager, sales manager, housekeepting staff and front desk people.
The hotel has gone through some renovations (room cosemtic at best) but still has drirty and now spotted carpet in the room and hallways. The sheer white curtains are visible black (need washing). There is a large containger for trash kept on the first floor in the hallway next to the front office and it smells like it (I had to spray air fresher to visit a friend on the first floor). New manager has gone up on room rate twice and will not honor a Priemuin Platium Member with an upgrade unless she can make a buck more off of someone else and tells the staff to call her personally to get approvals on any upgrades (shame on you for such bad customer service and making you staff feel like they cannot take care of customer unless you say so). Housekeepers speak almost no English and you need an interperter to talk to them. The rooms do not smell or feel clean even after they have cleaned them.
I know that as big as this company is they ought to have a manager with people skills who can run the place better (like the other two guys did) maybe them people like me can believe in this hotel again. If you have a reservation hopefully the manager and sales manager will not go up on your rate in the middle of your stay like they tried to do me (I checked out and went to a much nicer place for less money).
