Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Overall Hotel in a 5-Week Trip The Candlewood in Mt Pleasant was one of those rare hotels where there was nothing to find fault with. The hotel, including the rooms, was perfectly clean. The owner and staff were very accomodating, helpful, and friendly. For this 5-week road trip, I'd rate this hotel the highest of all hotels at which we stayed - including both less expensive and more (including "much more") expensive hotels. Even though we were only "passing through" the area, we extended our stay in Mount Pleasant for an additional day due to the comfort and cleanliness of this hotel. I rarely take the time to write a review, but felt that it was necessary to acknowledge this hotel. April 24, 2013
