Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel at a great price We were in town for a wedding and stayed two nights. Hotel was clean and everything you'd expect to get. Nice, solid place with clean rooms, a kitchenette (though we didn't make much use of it). The only issues we had during the stay were minor and (assumedly) one-time things that are easy fixes for the future. There was no iron in the room and had trouble tracking down a working extra. We also needed to do laundry one day. Were surprised to find the Cupboard in the lobby - a great idea! - but they were out of detergent. They had several types of softener and due to that, I frankly suspect someone bought/stocked extra softener instead of detergent on accident. It didn't appear to be a lack of effort where things were missing on the shelf. October 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Staff, like family We arrived early for a wedding and were immediately greeted by a lovely front desk person, who was able to check us in and get us a room right away. Every staff member we encountered was courteous and helpful and treated us like we'd known each other for years. We had an issue that night after the wedding we attended, with rude, drunken, loud guests across the hall, and called the front desk, and 2 staff members promptly responded and helped us out. This was our first time at this hotel and in a Candlewood Suites, and we were very pleased! October 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by table and chair in room could be more conventional The table in the rooms higher than normal work table or kitchen table and the chair is much too short for comfortable working or eating. Cut a few inches off the table legs or get adjustable, higher chairs please. October 19, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Like Home Away From Home I would definitely come back and stay at Candlewood Suites in New Iberia LA. It was very clean and well maintained when we arrived. The lobby and elevators were very clean and everything smelled nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was like having home away from home. Everything you need or might need was available. Had a great experience! September 16, 2014

My greatest complaint was the offensive smoke odor, My room had the no smoking sign while smoking was allowed in the room next door, The minute I opened my door, I was met with the smell of smoke. It is my opinion that any facility is smoking or smoke free, it can't be both! I also did not like that the front doors were not locked at a certain time. My family and I returned to the hotel around 3:30 am one morning and did not have to use our room key to enter. Safety is a major concern for me when staying at any hotel. August 28, 2014
