Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ASmith27 Candlewood Suites Times Square
The staff were very courteous and helpful, great customer service. The rooms were nice and clean, having the kitchenette was great so we could have small meals or snacks while there. The location was phenomenal, within walking distance to many main NYC attractions. Considering the location, the rooms were quite affordable. Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who is wanting to stay in the Times Square area of NYC.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DBDB Great location and good value
Would definitely stay here again. The room was ideal for our week long stay because we had the freedom to have breakfast and light meals in comfort. The location is just a short walk from all of the Times Square action. There were a couple things broken in our room when we arrived (a light and a shelf). We reported them to reception and some one came to fix the straight away. The staff were all helpful and friendly.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Marlene0001 Good, but we have to make de beds and clean de bathroom everyday
The hotel is good, clean and the young people in the reception are nice. However I did not like the following problems:
1) We make the beds, and clean the room every day. If you ask for this service you must to pay an additional fare.
2) No storage for the bags. We needed to leave our bags and this was not allowed, and thus we had to search for another place just to leave the bags after the checkout time.
3) We asked for ice at eleven o clock PM in the reception and the lady in the reception did not show good mood and she took more than one hour to send the ice, even after several calls asking for the ice. Included in the phone she did not show good will for do this and answered in a bad way.
4) There is not any possibility to have breakfast, there is not a restaurant.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Poor Service and no Room Cleaning
- It has a pretty good lie near the Times Square
- Some of the Stuff have been helpful and nice
- Nobody cleaned the Room
- Some of the Stuff have been unkind
- We booked a Room for 4 People and there are no rooms for 4.
So we had to book another room for the same price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by happycouple2010 great hotel and great location
My husband and I stayed at the hotel the weekend of July 26th though July 29th. We arrived at the hotel 2 hours earlier than check-in and we were able to check in early. My husband and I appreciated it very much as we had many plans for the day. The hotel is just a few blocks away from timesquare. Lots of shopping and great places to eat around the area. We came back to the hotel midday each day to take a break from all of the walking and sightseeing. Each day the hotel provided complimentary cookies and lemonade. It was very refreshing especially with the heat outside. I think my husband enjoyed it the most. I think he probably grabbed 4 cookies or so. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable as well. The only thing that I would have to say is that one of the elevators were not working. It took a while at times to get up and down. They did fix the elevator during our visit. Overall, this is a great hotel and we would definately stay here again and would recommend it to all our friends. Can't wait to visit NYC again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wonny Convenient place to stay in Times Square area
We spent three nights in the Candlewood Suites, and found the location to be ideal for our purposes.
Our room on the 30th floor was clean and well equipped, but although it was very comfortable, the huge armchair took up a lot of space in what was a relatively small room. We also felt that the table would still have been quite adequate if it had been only half it's size - and we should have had more room to move around.
The kitchen area was more than adequate, and the bathroom, although old, was clean and functional.
The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.
The Reception staff were very efficient, friendly, and helpful.
In fact everyone we met was the same, and we thoroughly enjoyed or stay.

Close to Times Square, with reasonable prices. Rooms are large and comfortable considering the location. Rooms are clean with a very helpful staff. Parking is the only inconvenient item, but again what can you expect at this location. Would recommend to anyone with activities near Times Square.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TexasNana Best bed in town!
This was a wonderful "first-time in NY" place to stay since we wanted to be in Midtown amongst all the hectic activity. The staff was very cordial and prompt in answering any questions or concerns. The bed was absolutely wonderful after a full day of noise, activity, and heat! The best part of all, was the transportation to the airport #JFK#. It was my granddaughter's birthday and we had asked for a car to take us to the airport. We ended up with a white limo! What a wonderful way to end her birthday trip! Thank you, Candlewood Suites! I would highly recommend this "extended stay" hotel as it gave us the flexibility of eating in or eating out. #Although the kitchen is very small#
The room was very comfortable for two people. More than that would have been crowded. The only recommendation I would make is that there be coffee packets provided free of charge to the room each day and that there be more than 2 sets of plates and silverware. Great place to stay - only about 5 blocks from Times Square and many theaters. Highly recommend!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nicky32 Great location and nice kitchenette
We had a good stay at Candlewood and loved the location close to Times Square and streets with ample choise of nice restaurants. We liked having a small kitchen, so we had the choise of having breakfast or lunch out in the city or in our room for a lesser expence.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fleedm Great Hotel in Great Location
We spent 6 nights here and loved every moment. Our room on the 30th floor had spectacular views. The room which was clean and spacious had a kitchenette with large fridge, comfortable bed and recliner chair. In the basement there was a gym and a laundry which had 6 washing machines and dryers - all free to use. Location very close to Times Square and Broadway and had easy access to all of Manhatten. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There is no maid service but we knew this before we booked. Any replacements were readily available upon request. The hotel was good value for money by New York standards and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere central to stay in a clean comfortable environment.

I stayed at the Candlewood Suites Hotel for six days on a leisure trip to NY. I must say it definitely fulfilled my expectations. The rooms are neat and comfty and the staff are just great. The facilities are ok and the best thing is the location.
I would certainly go back to Ny and stay here again!!
Thanks for everything.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Winnie07 Great location and excellent accommodation
We stayed in this hotel twice for 7 nights in total and I would thoroughly recommend it. It is centrally located close to Times Square, so there are plenty of places close by for eating and drinking and many of the major attractions are within walking distance.
All the desk staff were friendly and helpful and the shop (Candlewood Cupboard) was well equipped with snacks and essentials, as well as free coffee on tap.
Would definitely go back if I was in NYC again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Recycler29 Comfortable bed and great service!
The room was very nice with a full kitchen! The bathroom was a bit disappointing. Old, standard shower-head with low water pressure causing a bit more time in the shower. The spigots dripped incessantly and we just shut the bathroom door at night. Took a long time to get hot water. We did not report this though, because of busy schedule and not thinking of it until we were quietly sitting in the room and didn't want maintenance to come to the room then. Also, daughter had horrible time with their keycard. Everyday, they had to get a new key made after we arrived at room and it didn't work again! After asking for maintenance to check the battery on the door, he arrived and used his master key and said "master key works". Really? So what? The last 6 keys of ours did NOT! So that's why we didn't call maintenance for plumbing issues. Overall, it is a nice hotel in a good location (about 5 blocks from subway and 3 from Times Square). Front desk was kind and helpful.
We would stay again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by chenla Gorgeous hotel and convenient
The entire hotel was very exquisite, from the lobby to our room.
Our room was very comfortable and clean, and provided the facilities that we needed such as the free laundry. We were also delighted that our room had our very own kitchenette.
The hotel's location was also excellent since it close to Times Square and methods of transportation, which was very convenient for us.
The only thing that we didn't like was the fact that there was only one bed. The 3 of us had to be crammed on that bed every night. We think that it would be much more comfortable if there were at least 2 beds because the mattresses were good for our backs.
Other than that one flaw, we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely be coming back to this hotel if we ever come back to New York City again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great location and fantastic service!
Every staff member we dealt with we're so friendly and helpful.
Location was fantastic! Close walk to Times Square and to the subway.
Room was clean and had everything we needed. Daily housekeeping was not included but this was explained to us on check in and we were given a large amount of towels so we had no problems with this at all.
Will definitely recommend to other people.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good Value, Great Location
Candlewood Suites was the perfect place for us to spend our three nights in Manhattan. We arrived very early, and although it was too soon to check in the bellman took care of our luggage in a very friendly and efficient manner, which allowed us to see quite a few sights before checking in.
The room was comfortable, the kitchen had everything we could need for our stay with one exception - regular coffee. There was a coffeemaker and decaf coffee in the room, but no regular. They did, however, serve free coffee downstairs in the "Cupboard".
Some of the amenities (the Concierge and the computers for guest use) are shared with the Holiday Inn Express next door. There is no daily housekeeping service, but they happily provided any extras we needed (towels, linen, etc.)
The location is wonderful, walking distance to Times Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Center, Radio City and an overwhelming variety of shops and restaurants. It's also just blocks from the Port Authority Bus Terminal and all manner of public transportation.
Overall, we had a great stay and would certainly return to Candlewood.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spruce42 Great location, wonderful staff!
We stayed in a suite (3201) during our 6 day visit to New York City. My husband and I traveled with our 10 year old granddaughter to see the sights. We appreciated the cleanliness of the suite and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff very much. Our granddaughter enjoyed borrowing DVDs available to guests. The room was comfortable, including the bed and linens, and we loved the thick, large towels in the bathroom. At first we were disappointed with the size of the suite, but as we settled in we found it was certainly more than adequate for the amount time we spent there. In fact we came to think of it as “cozy” rather than small. The location was perfect for us.
The one complaint I have about the suite is the very noisy, blowing air conditioning units. There is no way to control the amount of air blowing (either high, medium or low) and the unit made lots of noise. A couple of nights I found it very difficult to sleep with the noise of the air conditioner and its shutting off and turning on. The room was too stuffy if we turned the unit off. Otherwise our stay was pleasant and measured up to our expectations and more.
