Check-in was superb. The clerk was friendly and went out of the way to make sure our room was okay. The room was very clean. My only complaint is that in the morning when I called for a late checkout there seemed to be a lot of confusion. The clerk told me that she would call me back. After almost an hour, I rang the front desk again. Then I was offered a 2pm checkout---which was honored at a another property because I am a "reward member." Well....got a call at 1pm from the manager saying that they could not honor the 2pm checkout because they needed the room. Tell me why the desk person did not know that the room was reserved and needed to be cleaned right away. We were basically kicked out. I will NEVER stay there again. Not a good way to do business.

This is the 2nd time, my wife and I have stayed at Candlewood Suites and I love it more each time, the staff is amazing, mostly "Tiffany" the night desk clerk, she went above and beyond her duty, our bed was a loose from the wall and could not be fixed that night, she made sure everything was satisfactory for us, if waned to move or receive a discount if we stayed, then there was an incident on the 4th floor which made the fire alarm go off in the whole building, but they handled it quick and we were right back to enjoying the comfort of the room. My wife and I have 23yrs and 4 kids and this hotel is the perfect getaway spot for a night of peace and quite. The king size suite is AMAZING

Staff and service was great! Room was very nice and clean. Allowed us to check out late without any extra cost. Everyone was extra nice and helpful, defiantly worth the price!

I was headed home to Northern Virginia from Charleston, SC and stopped over in Norfolk. What a warm and friendly check in experience. The yound lady who checked me in made me feel as if I was only guest in the entire hotel. She provide me with some much information about the hotel as well as the restaurants near by. The lobby was bright and warm with alots of colors; it had a smell of autumn in the air.The room was nice and coozy and the bed was heavenly. I rested so well that I had to extend my check out time. The hotel has a great location, off a main highway; which is fulled of restaurants and shopping.

The staff at this hotel was very friendly and accommodating. The room itself, however, left a lot to be desired It was worn. What bothered us the most was the odor in the room. We requested a non-smoking room. This room had obviously been a smoking allowed room at one time and still carried a lot of that smell.

I tend to stay here A LOT for work and its always a good stay. Quiet, clean, comfortable and accomodating. Last stay had a few hiccups but only because i was checked in WAY early. At the front desk, Shayna is absolutely fantastic always and immediately took care of me. Always greets you with a smile and as someone who stays here 2-3 times a month, it's always good to see ther there because i know i'll be taken care of.
