I arrived in the middle of the night, traveling 10 hours to Virginia but once I arrived the front desk agent name Wanda was pleasant, I explained my circumstances and she understood clearly by explaining all of the amenities quickly but professionally. I have never met someone that works in the middle of the night with a smile.....Wanda keep up the good work

I like having space and indeed the 2 room suite with full kitchen is a plus, i like the opportunity to be able to cook when i dont feel like going out.

I often travel in this area for business and decided to stay at this location. Being a platinum member, I have never stayed at a Candlewood Suites. Upon arrival I was assigned a room. I went to the room and someone else was in it. I was assigned another room and the room was very spacious, clean and nice. At 8 AM the next morning someone was pounding on the door. The front desk told housekeeping that I already checked out. The person told me they needed to clean the room. I explained that I had not checked out and they said they would come back later.

This is my second time staying at Candlewood Suites/Norfolk and each time we had a very pleasant stay. We had two suites and one of the suites had a strong cleaning smell. We called the front desk and they immediately came to check the room and agreed that the smell was strong. They gave us another suite with no problem and gave us a follow up call to make sure eveything was to our liking. Thanks for such a great service!!!

My 3 sisters and I are all over 60 and have specific dietary needs.
Having access to cook our meals was not only necessary, but economical. The location to the interstates and to our family was ideal. There are 2 shopping malls nearby. I would recommend this for mature travelers like us.

A few months ago, I reserved this hotel to stay with my family for a funeral because of such great reviews I saw. I called and spoke to Someone Named Yolet who claimed to have been the front desk manager, which I reserved 5 King SUITES with for 22 family memebers in total, (and was rude from the moment she picked up the phone). When we arrived, we were told by Susan at the front desk that what was reserved were 5 standard rooms with just 1 bed in each and that there were no King suites available. Though I was extremely upset, She was very helpful and didnt stop trying to get in contact with a manager until she found better sources. I Finally spoke to a manager whos name was Jenifer and was as rude as Yolet (Now 2 unprofessional managers). She was upset with Susan at first for calling her about the situation in front of me (apparently this had not been the first time the "front desk manager " had screwed up). Unfortunately, Though the young lady at the front desk tried her best to help us, Nothing was done, and because everything in the area was sold out already, we had no other choice but to stay there and accommodate everyone as we could. But through out our stay, Susan constantly called to check on us and ask if we needed anything at all. To top it all off, I called a week ago to make a reservation (to give another try, cause people do make mistakes), but strictly only wanted Susan to make my reservation this time, and was told she was terminated a while back. Word of Advice: Hire Susan back and have her train the managers all over again, Never staying here again.
