    Good price, friendly staff, maintenance issues

    The price is very good and competitive for the Charleston area. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
    I did experience several maintenance issues: TV in bedroom did not work, hairdryer in bathroom did not work, most of the light bulbs in bathroom were out, microwave was not clean. It was a short weekend stay and I was tired from traveling. I did not want maintenance staff coming to my room and I was too tired to switch rooms and was concerned there would just be different maintenance issues in a different room.
    My biggest recommendation is for the hotel to be much more proactive in their maintenance upkeep. They shouldn't wait until guests report problems. The above issues would be simple for someone to check before the room was issued to a guest.
    Also, there is no place to pull up to the front entrance with an overhang and without blocking cars in handicapped parking. It was pouring rain the night I arrived and it was a wet mess trying to bring luggage in. I would imagine it is the same problem for your extended stay guests trying to bring groceries in.
    Manager was very helpful when we talked after my stay. I think if they could just get a handle on the basic maintenance issues it would really improve their reviews.

    We stayed on a floor that had recently been renovated. We stay at many properties during the year, and this site is excellent. I am a Platinum Elite Member.

    Candlewood properties are normally very nice and this one was no exception. Our room was good, comfy bed, exceept the bathroom floor looked and felt dirty. Other than that, everything was great.

    For a newer Candlewood Suites, this hotel needs updating! The bedding in the room was not consistent - meaning one bed was old and lumpy with not good quality bedding - blankets
