I was really disappointed in the new manager's inability to do her duties. As a hotel manager it is her job to ensure that each person that books a room/suite gets what they booked. She failed at this. She gave my friends and I two rooms for free since the people would not leave or rather were not made to leave, which is fine, but if she had two rooms to give to us why didn't she move the other people.
In addition, the fact that she waited until 2:15 to call, 45 minutes prior to check in is inexcusable.

It should have been conveyed up front that this hotel was of the self-service type, ie, one had to exchange ones towels for fresh towels on a daily basis. There is no daily housekeeping service which I was not used too.

The front desk clerk was very poorly trained. We have stayed at this particular hotel many times in the past and have always been very pleased. This time however, was a nightmare and it was due to one particular person. We did wind up leaving and going home instead of staying the night. The manager did call the next day to discuss the issue with us.
