Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst night we've had in a Holiday Inn Property The grounds and property were clean but the bed, A/C and T.V. were unacceptable. Bed was like sleeping on the floor it was so hard, A/C unit struggled to keep the room cool and the cable went off shortly after check-in and did not come back on until sometime in the early morning hours. On top of all the problems with the room the ice machine was out of order on the 1st floor and I couldn't find anyone at the desk so I had to search the hotel for another machine which was located on the 3rd floor. The next morning before we woke up housekeeping was knocking at the door to clean the room. There was no bill either in my room or outside the door to speed up check out. August 21, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Older Holiday Inn Express Needs to be referbished. It was clean and comfortable, just needed newer smell, It had a little musty smell. Other than that it was quiet and relaxing. It was easy to get to I-55 and to the shopping in Southhaven. August 9, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good with some problems This was a standard type room that was nice with good water pressure in the bathroom. I was very impressed that they had single serve K-cup coffee makers. I was also impressed that the night staff made fresh chocolate chip cookies...(it was a great surprise for my son) The room was what I would expect from this brand of hotel and why I always stay at Holiday Inns...NOW THE BAD...When I checked in I was given a room that someone was already staying in. Luckily she was not in the room but my small son did have to glimpse some womens clothing that he shouldn't see at this age! We went swimming that night and the pool was not in the best shape. We came out with leaves and stuff stuck to us and had to take a shower immediately. We stayed at this hotel because of the free shuttle service to the Memphis Airport. Even though I was assured that the shuttle ran hourly the night before as well as calling the front desk at 4:00AM, the shuttle was not there to pick us up at 5:00AM as requested. We weren't actually picked up until 5:30AM which made getting to our flight a little difficult. July 30, 2013

We were suppose to stay 2 nights but left early after only 1. The breakfast was VERY good. This was the only thing nice about this place. July 10, 2013

This location is near shopping, eating places of all kinds and is a very short drive to Memphis. It is also close to the Tunica Casino's. I have always enjoyed staying here and will be back! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel to say at in Memphis This hotel has one of the best items in their lobby that helps you remember the hotel, a wood train locomotive. This has to be one of the best ran Holiday Inns in the area. The Manager and his staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and what to make sure you need nothing. I asked about the equipment in the gym and was told that they were updating the items and even went as far as to tell me that the next time I would be there it would be new. If you are in Memphis and want to stay close to the airport and have a clean safe place to stay – this is it stay here. The hotel is only one exit away from all the great eating places and you will want for nothing. June 17, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great breakfast and nice room I stay here 2 times in the past week. I stay at this hotel when I drive through Memphis. The first night the room was great but was on the 2nd floor, which is the smokers floor. It wasn't nice to walk out the room to smell smoke. The breakfast is always fabulous, with the automatic pancake maker and in-room Kurigs. The 2nd night we stayed, it was a first floor room but the mattress felt like a rock. Nice desk and housekeeping personnel. I would stay here again. April 24, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location to Graceland This is a great location to visit Graceland and surrounding sites. The hotel is fairly modern and offers what you would expect from Holiday Inn Express. The rooms include a frig which is great for traveling. Although we were on the third floor, we had tiny ants in both bedroom and bathroom. This was creepy and an annoyance but we chose not to make issue to avoid having to move all our things. However, when we told the desk clerk the next day, she didn't even apologize! Also, in our bathroom there were many traces of hair from either previous guests or maybe even from the housekeeping staff. Either way, more attention to detail is warranted. It wasn't awful but more of a general annoyance. We would stay here again if in this area. The dining room staff were friendly and helpful. April 18, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bed WE usually stay at Holiday Inn Expresses when we travel This one in Southaven Mississippi was clean and every thing else was fine except for the bed. The bed saged so bad in the middle that we had a hard time getting out of it when we needed to get up, we are in our seventys believe me it wasnt an easy task getting out of the bed. So inthe morning we pulled the sheets back what a sight the mattress covering was all ripped and foam was hanging out all over the place. worst nite we ever spent in a bed cant recomend this hotel to any body But all in all Holiday Inns are the top of the line We will continue to stay at them there Fabulious operation. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Comfy Bed but bad plumbing, bad TV service and bad guest laundry Its to bad that this older hotel that has been doing a lot of great updates and has newer comfortable beds is bitten by the little things. The TV service was terrible as you could not get the remote to change the channels or volume and it was not the remote, it was the TV service. Also, the stool did not flush well and the bath tub backed up. Lastly, I tried to use the guest laundry and the dryer ate my quarters. The staff was nice but I felt they were not empowered to solve any problems. So what could be a great hotel fell way short because of these little things. February 14, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Almost missed my flight My first bad experience in a HI Express in a long time... I am a dedicated Holiday Inn chain customer. I stayed here because it is very close to the airport - and has a free shuttle. When checking in, I asked to be on the shuttle list for the morning. It runs every hour. My flight was at 6:00 AM. I didn't want to catch the 4:00 AM and sit at the airport that long. The customer service gal at check-in said the shuttle is normally at the hotel 10 minutes early, so I felt safe with the 5:00 trip. The next morning, I was down at 4:45 AM. 5:00 AM passed, 5:15 passed, and finally at 5:25 he showed up. The gal at the desk was calling every 10 minutes - and he kept saying he would be there in 10. Got to the airport at 5:35. Printed boarding pass, sprinted down the concourse. Last one on the plane! Whew... I tried to print my boarding pass from the hotel early that morning, but the printer wasn't working (and their computer might have been the slowest I have used in 5 years). Add to that my non-smoking room smelled like somebody smoked in it, and I more than likely won't be back. Sorry... February 14, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay- in memphis area Hotel has undergone renovation in past 5-6 years. great breakfast and staff on front desk. friendly but efficient. rooms clean and well mantained. had one day that left room at 10 am and cleaning staff did not return to clean room. However, front desk staff stepped up and provided anything that was needed. great looking property, very secure very convient to airport and staff very accomidating. great January 14, 2013
