Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reward night spent here,... The front desk staff and especially the young lady doing the housekeeping work on the 3rd floor were very friendly and good at their jobs. Wish all interactions with service personnel were so upbeat! Bed was comfortable, spacious room was nice. Area around the hotel is rather vacant, but everything you could ask for is just a short walk away. August 12, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, roomy and affordable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel and suites were exceptionally clean and new. The only issue, which was not a major one for me, was the smell of cooked food that always makes its way into long-term stay hotels with kitchens. The smell in the hallway was a little off putting, but closing the door behind me took care of that problem. August 5, 2014

I stayed for 1 month at this hotel an everyday the staff was super friendly .... the room was very clean an i got a great rate for staying a month. The only down side was because these rooms have kitchens you could sometimes smell ppl food in the halls an also the laundry room was always a mess not because it wasnt cleaned but because the guys using the machines did not know how to use the machines! Besides that this is a great hotel an i will def. Be staying there again August 5, 2014

Only problm was the automatic air conditioning system, which supposedly senes when someone in room. Took to long to react and shut off during night when we were sleeping. August 5, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 My Fourth Time Was Not A Charm I stayed at the Candlewood suites for the first time back in 2011, shortly after they opened. I found my room by doing an Internet search and because the room was centrally located to the business I had to do, I took the deal. That stay's rate was much less than subsequent stays, likely because it was an opening special rate. On my most recent stay, I was put in a smoking room. The moment I opened the door to my room, I walked to the phone and asked to be put in a different room. No luck, the hotel was sold out. Imagine a woman with long, thick hair full of hairspray staying inside a biker bar for five days and then getting caught in the rain when she leaves on the sixth day. That's how my room smelled. The kind lady at the desk offered an ozone machine, which I gladly accepted. It, however made the room smell even worse. I can't even describe how odd that smell was. I went to the nearby Kroger to buy a candle. That didn't work. I went back and got "Fabreeze". I soaked the curtains, the floors, the carpet, the walls, the luck. I went back and got air freshener...that worked for five minutes. I woke up both mornings with a terrible headache and my chest and lungs hurt as if I had smoked a pack of cigarettes before going to bed. I cancelled my last night in the room because I just couldn't take the smell. It's perfectly fine to have smoking rooms, even though its not exactly the PC thing to do these days but for goodness sake, CLEAN THE ROOM! The curtains were dingy yellow, the ceiling was discolored and the carpet, no doubt, had absorbed the cigarette smoke. And, I'll never understand the blunder of not hanging the bathroom doors on the opposite side. As they are, in every room that I've stayed in, the door cannot be fully open before hitting the vanity and blocking ones abilty to open the vanity drawers. Finally, I was really surprised that there was no maid service until you check out, which meant no new coffee packet, no bed being made, etc. I was highly disappointed with this stay and will likely never return.
