Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I cannot believe the condition of th room that I was given. The carpets stunk and the desk chair was ripped. The non-smoking room reeked of smoke. There was no way of controlling the HVAC (The thermostat did not work). I asked for another room and was told that there were other vacant rooms, but that they were all in the same condition. I was given a free night stay with a bunch of apologies from the staff. I would not recommend this hotel. September 9, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Stay The place has gone down hill in a year. The lobby walls are dirty. The staff look very unprofessional. The laundry room has broken, dirty and rusty washers and dryers. The outside area was dirty and not cleaned daily. Tubs had hair in them. Had to buy spray to mask the smell in room. September 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We keekp staying at Candlewood!!! This is the 3rd Candlewood we have stayed at and I would recommend them -(in fact I do) to anyone. From staff being friendly to having a frig and kitchen supplies to keep from all meals being at restaurants. They are who we will stay with. And most of all the are pet friendly, your boy goes everywhere with us!!!!!! August 22, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Candlewood Disappointment Bath tub broken - only the shower worked. TV remote did not work. AC was very loud. Room cleanliness was less than expected based on prior Candlewood Suites stays. Will not stay at this location again. Will look for another IHG in the Richmond Area. July 29, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay It's very neat. Comfortable, no smell. Bathroom is very clean, Kitchen space is a little cosy, could have been better. Space saving microwave was not working, so a countertop microwave was provided which consumed all space next to the stove, so felt a little congested in the kitchen area. Overall a very good hotel to stay. I will definitely stay there if I come to that city. I recommend others to stay, April 12, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay The lady who checked us in was very friendly and she had every thing ready when we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable. Loved the fact that it had a stove and a full size refrigerator along with pots and pans to cook with. The laundry room was a real blessing, normally when we travel we have to spend around 20 dollars to wash our clothes but this one was free. We had no problems at this hotel , we traveled with our kids and a pet. March 24, 2013

I had asked twice to have my television repaired and maintenance never addressed the problem. during the week. I was also told that maintenance did not work on the weekend. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I'm Home! As a person that travels for a living it is important for me to have a safe, convient and comfortable place to stay. After all, this is my home away from home. I've been working in Richmond for almost three years now. And I never stayed at any other place besides Candlewood Richmond-South. I enjoy seeing the entire staff who greats me by my first name. They are always quick to adapt to my schedule and see to it that I always enjoy my stay. The suites are well equipt for my cooking needs and yet Candlewood is centrally located to all the best choices of resturants that Richmond has to offer. It's location is just off of interstate 95 making it easily acessable. All I can say after 26 years on the road Candlewood Suites Richmond-South has become my home away from home. I would highly recomend staying here to ayone traveling in the Richmond area. October 17, 2012
