One thing in particular is that they always have our paperwork ready when we have reserved our room ahead of time. There is no waiting and searching for our reservation on the computer. They are efficient and helpful. They receive us with a warm welcome like they are glad we have chosen to stay with them. They are attentive and looking for ways to meet our needs. November 8, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Home Away From Home My two month stay at Candlewood Suites Rockford, Il was far beyond what I expected for a business trip I was not looking forward to. The staff was amazing with an attention to detail. Susan the Manager was there almost all the time to assist and was so personable. James a staff member was like a personal Concierge paying attention to each and every customer (I witnessed) befriending us to make us feel at home. The rooms were new and updated, clean and the amenities all in working order. The lines wonderful and pillows were "just right". The laundry facility was FREE and clean along with the area that you can purchase food and beverages. There is a check out for cool appliances if you want to make waffles, smoothies or make something in a toaster oven. You can also check out games or surf the internet. Free wifi but it is not the greatest speed and you have to keep logging in. The TV channels rock! I became hooked on HDTV October 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay for a wedding weekend Stayed at The Candlewood Inn in Rockford, IL and felt that I got a much better room and service than guests who stayed elsewhere for the same event. Staff was very friendly, warm, and family oriented. They have a small sundries store that is on the honor system where you can get small items you forgot or buy a frozen dinner, etc. for about the price you would pay at a grocery store. There was a kitchenette in the room which included some microwavable bowls, a cooking pot, and utensils. You can actually "check out" a juicer at the desk -- next time, I'm bringing more fresh fruits and vegetables! Everything was immaculate. Bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again anytime I needed a hotel and actually said to my kids after our first night: all hotel rooms should be like this one! September 3, 2014
