We now feel as if we're family. The rooms are spacious and nicely maintained. Upgrades have been made since our last visit and enhance the appeal of the rooms. December 22, 2013

They offered suggestions of great restaurants off the beaten path. I look forward to working in Rockford again as Candlewood will be my home away from home again. December 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good for long term stay My two dogs and I stayed for 10 days and it was a good experience. The bed was very comfortable and the suite was adequate for our needs. It would be very small for a long term stay for more than one person, however. The staff was friendly and helpful. Free washers and dryers. Very favorable dog expense compared to other "dog friendly" places in Rockford that were dog friendly in name only! October 18, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Made me feel as though I was ripping them off! I'm a platinum rewards member and used my points for a free night at this hotel. Upon checkout, the desk clerk said I must sign a receipt showing a $20 charge. I explained to her that there should be no charge since I had used points for a free night. She explained that the hotel bills IHG so that "they can get a little something out of the deal for my free stay." I inquired why I was signing for a $20 charge if that was between the hotel & IHG. I was told it was the only way for me to get the free night and for the hotel to get reimbursed from IHG. She made me feel like I was ripping the hotel off for being a loyal IHG rewards customer. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 4-day 3 Night Stay Prior to Memorial Day An excellent place to stay! Room was exactly as requested (accessible with tub and rails rather than roll-in shower). I had doubts about my husband and I being comfortable in a QSB, and they readily made a rollaway available for our convenience. My only small concern was that the maid started to make the bed without putting on a mattress pad, but willingly got one for me when I requested it. The kitchen facilities in the room are great. Very clean. I was concerned about it being noisy as AAA said it was in a busy commercial area. However, we found it to be extremely quiet. Staff was readily available, courteous and accommodating. We made use of the Candlewood Cupboard every morning for our coffee, even though there was a coffee maker in the room. I also bought some items from the Cupboard during our stay. The accommodations may be too small if you are traveling with children, but just perfect for singles or couples! Highly recommend staying here! May 27, 2013
