Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great room but check Pet fees I liked this Candlewood Suites room and the $15.00 pet fee was reasonable. I warn anyone to check before they book. The next night we stayed at another Candlewood Suites just outside San Antonio (Stone Oak area) and they gouged us for an $87.56 pet fee. They said that's the minimum fee and is good for 4 nights but I only needed one night !!!. Had I known this prior to booking the hotel we would have either looked for another hotel or drivin back to Fort Worth (Our Home) rather than pay that outragous fee. NOT HAPPY with them. Even though I had a problem with my room, and unable to switch because of 100% full, still a fantastic stay. The personal attention to details and the projected feeling of concern of my comfort keep my coming back to this hotel. I truly cannot say enough good things about this property, so as long as they keep letting write reviews I will keep writing them. November 6, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful stay will no go back. When we arrived we were told they did not have a room for us, the housekeepers were sent home before all rooms were cleaned! When I insisted they find or clean a room as we had a confirmed reservation with a hold on our credit card one of the managers who "lived on site" was called down. She checked on a room that was on the maintenance schedule and gave it to us claiming it was clean and only needed a light bulb replaced. WRONG the room smelled horrible, the carpet was filthy, there was mold in the window tracks, the toilet did not flush properly and of course the burned out light bulb. The next day I asked for a different room and was told there were none. On the 3rd day I told them we needed a different room or would leave I was having asthma attacks and headaches from the room. We were given a room at the other end of the building and even though it smelled much better the carpet was again filthy dust was piled up over an inch around all the baseboards in all rooms, the thermostat was frozen on 65 degrees and you could not adjust it at all, the bathtub built in plug was laying on the edge of the tub, the main entrance door to our room would not shut properly unless slammed, the closet door would not open all the way because it hit the bed and we were put in a room next to the freeway so we heard freeway noises and trains all night! When our Great Grand children came over to spend the night the sheets for the hide a bed were for a twin not a standard bed and the children's knees November 5, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice experience We chose this hotel based on location and the fact that they welcome big dogs. We make this trip yearly for a barbecue run and the hotel is in a great location and the staff is very nice and helpful. The room is well stocked and clean. Definitely a great value. October 28, 2014
