My husband and I were traveling with out 2-month-old baby girl. This was the first time we were staying in a hotel since she'd been born. We had to take quite a few items with us for her, such as formula, a bottle warmer, etc.
I booked a king suite, the last room available, and was expecting the same as every hotel. I was expecting a mini-fridge and not much else. When we got to the hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised! It was as if we had our own mini-apartment, or home away from home!
From the full-size fridge to the sink to the stove to the microwave, things were made infinitely easier for my husband and I regarding the preparation of our daughter's bottles. We were able to plug in our bottle warmer and keep her formula both warm and cold as needed.
The extra living room area gave us the ability to move around with our baby, especially on the nights she had trouble sleeping. All in all, this stay was made very enjoyable. I even forgot that I was staying at a hotel, for I kept saying, "When we get back to the apartment..."
I have never really taken the time to review any hotels, so the fact that I wrote out a lengthy review for this one speaks volumes. My husband and I plan on staying at the Candlewood for our future vacations! Again, what a great experience!

The staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean and had all the amenities I hoped for. Quiet night stay.

My primary reason for staying there was the location was right, the price was reasonable, and I prefer the suite type set up. I was in San Antonio for the World Skeet Championships. I had stayed at this location the last three year, and at another San Antonio Candlewood several years previously.
