Staying in Chicago on business, 8 nights at Candlewood and everything was terrific. Easy access to the CTA Blue Line via shuttle to O'Hare, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful without exception. Great value -- we will stay there again!

We've been coming to this property for several years because of it's proximity to O'Hare and the efficient shuttle service. We've always been satisfied, but even more so with the beautiful refurbishing that was done about a year ago. The rooms have a highend feel. Pillows mean a lot to me and these are wonderful, along with the bed. We'll be back time and again.

I enjoyed my two week stay at Candlewood Suites. The price was great and the rooms were very nice. The location is fine if you have a car. If you don't, then you can take the shuttle to the airport and take the blue line into the city. Only thing within walking distance is the gas station for food and drinks ;). I feel this place is great value. The rooms were better than I expected. Full kitchen!

Rooms were roomy and clean with the normal amenities. Being very near the airport, room was surprisingly quite. Would recommend to travelers to use this facility.

Two weeks worth of great comfort and welcome atmosphere. Amazingly quiet considering proximity to O'Hare airport and freeway. Highly recommend this property and its staff!!

The only negative I can say is that the internet was terrible. But the beds are the best, the amenities are top notch, cleaning was OK, but they came back if I ever needed them too. I literally lived there for 4 whole months so I got to know the place well. Def. great value, friendly staff, clean and modern facilities.

When we arrived at O'Hare from Egypt (temperature 97 degrees) at O'Hare (temperature 19 degrees), processed through customs with our bags and called for the shuttle, telling the girl at the desk that we were at 5A (time 6:30 PM) we were told to go to the shuttle pickup point, that the shuttle would be there in about 10 minutes. We went outside and waited at the place marked hotel shuttles. After 15 minutes I called again and asked about the shuttle and told that it would be about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, shivering in 19 degree weather I called again and asked if I were at the correct point and was told that it was in front of the Hilton. Not knowing where the Hilton was, I asked how to get there. No answer.
I waited another 10 minutes and called again and was told the shuttle had picked up two people and that ZI must be at the wrong place. I asked where I should be and was again told in front of the Hilton, but no directions as to how I was to get to the Hilton hotel. At that point we got a taxi ($20) and finally arrived about 8:30 PM. Not a [pleasant experience. I have never before stayed at a hotel that did not pick you up at the hotel shuttle pickup point, or where the desk clerk obviously had little idea of where a pickup point was relative to where I was at arrivals.
Obviously, I will not stay at this facility again.

I had stayed at this property many years ago and found it to be lacking in almost every way. I recently got stranded at O'Hare and decided to give this hotel another try. What a pleasant surprise! The rooms are clean, neat and comfortable. The people are genuinely kind and the service was efficient.

A neat little suite with full kitchen for pratically the same price as normal (very reasonably priced) Holiday Inns in the area. From the outside, the hotel looks plain, and the entrance is a bit hard to find. But the hotel is perfectly fine. The area seemed like it could be scary, but it was also fine. For a short cut comming from the west, turn off of Irving Park/SR-19 onto Seymour Rd - then turn left (N) onto Mannheim/US-12/US-45 and its right there.
The rooms were clean and fun with the kitchen and dvd player. Lots of table space with the big desk. Well lit bathroom and lots of storage space. Beds werent the best, but they were ok. Recliner seemed like it didnt quite fit in the room, and somewhat blocked access to one side of the bed, and electrical outlets. Overall the room seemed a bit larger than a standard hotel room - but also had more stuff in it. Basically did not hear the planes, even though its right next to Ohare.
The kitchen would be apreciated even more on a longer stay, and was nice to have. Full size fridge was nice compared to the mini fridge most hotels now have in rooms. The dishwasher is pretty loud though. The weekly cleaning program has its pros and cons. A little sign said the room would be cleaned weekly (on a long stay), and towels/sheets could be exchanged at the desk between cleanings, if needed. We never needed to, but i imagine that process might be a bit awkward. Otherwise its nice not to have someone going in your room when your only there a couple days.
I was happy with the room, the value, and the hotel overall.

Comfortable bed, clean and Free Laundry. The only thing I wish for is more TV channels. i.e. History, World Fishing Network, Nat Geo, Comcast Chicago, Golf Channel. I am living away from home for 2-3 months at a time. Would be willing to pay extra for these channels.

My stay here is always pleasant. As a Priority Club Member, I do not need to know when it is someone's "first day", I also would like
a PC upgrade every once in a while. They accomodated me in Hoffman Estates. Also, the housekeeper's hair was still stuck to the shower liner upon check-in.

The Candlewood allows a person to feel more at home during their stay. While some service is welcome it should only come when needed or requested. The facility is up to date and comfortable. Everything needed is there or available.

It took the shuttle an hour and 45 mins to pick me up from the airport. Front desk associates are very rude. The window treatments do not block out the sun. The cupboard has little assortment and is way over priced.
Pet area was very nice, very dog friendly hotel besides the housekeeper.

Most hotels that are any kind of quality around Chicago are fairly expensive, but the Candlewood Suites was very reasonably priced, and the rooms were great. As far as for business, I would give it an A+, but I would only give it an A- for family fun because there is no pool.

My wife and I stayed at this place while at Lollapalooza 2012, and I must say I was very very satisfied with my stay.The rooms are quality and the shuttle service while at times is a little slow but this is not the fault of the hotel since they contract out the service. All in all worth every penny I spent. We will use this hotel again.

I stay at Holiday Inn property 200 plus stays a year ,this was by far the worst ever. The first room smelled like a wet dog and asked to be moved and was rudely hasseled before the move never even put bags in the room, the next room I flushed the toilet and it ran on the floor, asked to have it taken care of and when returned from my day still no service, I went to front desk and was rudely talked to as if I was bothering him, to be moved to a room that functions, I was moved and had mistakenly left a pad of paper with several notes and reports on it in the room, when I relized I had left it there the last place to have had it, the next day from job shop to inquire about the pad and it was never seen, this is typical for this place as customer service is last priority. Would not recommend to worst enemy.

I am a flight attendant and was staying at this location earning Priority Club points for the nights I stayed in my own room. There are several "crash pads" (rooms of airline employees) at this hotel and I had an opportunity to get into one. A DECIDING FACTOR for me to make that move was me being told by property staff & management " I WOULD RECIEVE PRIORITY CLUB POINTS FOR THE MONEY I SPENT TOWARD THE "CRASH-PAD" ROOM". Unfortunatley, that was not the case and it took an enormous amount of hassel and time for anybody to give me what points I have to date. The last time I paid for a room, I WAS TOLD THE MANAGER WAS NO LONGER GOING TO CREDIT MY MEMBERSHIP WITH POINTS BECAUSE IT WAS TOO BIG OF A HASSEL... something about "double credits" because the room is in one flight attendant's name but several of us stay there... WELL - JUST GIVE CREDIT FOR THE MONEY WE *EACH* SPEND - LIKE I WAS TOLD WOULD HAPPEN IN THE BEGINNING!!!
I am extremely disappointed (and upset) about this because I stay there on a continual basis and pay EVERY SINGLE MONTH. I am seriously considering taking my business (and my money) elsewhere so I can earn points for being a faithful return customer AND get treated like I'm special (since I am in the "crash pad" room, I don't get a welcome goodie bag for my status, bonus points or anything else).
Lots of other choices out there.
